This is a quality toy for the money. It does not break easily as some other reviews say.
I read the reviews for this product and several people claim they broke theirs the first day. I don;t know how, it is a thick plastic on the blades and the hilt seems very sturdy. If you're an adult just looking for a costume or display piece it's ideal, and the cheapest option. Even if you give it to a small child, if you just tell them to be a little careful and not smash it into concrete as hard as they can, you should be fine for normal play. There is a small plastic locking system to keep the blades inside, and maybe those little arms can break off, but it is very sturdy and a fine product. Maybe they meant the lights went out? I'm not going to smash mine and find out, but I'm telling you it's not flimsy and doesn't look or feel cheap. It's basically the same product I bought back in 1999 when Phantom Menace came out, except I'd swear this version is sturdier. Included are pictures of it lit up in a dark room, and a size comparison to two regular lightsabers I joined into a double. So trust me, I know these lightsabers, and this is a good one. EDIT: I know what they mean now, the end caps pop off if you pull the blade too hard. It's a simple matter to pop them back on, and properly align them to make the saber locks work. You could glue them in place if you really want to, or it makes it super easy to put in different blades if you want, as I am considering doing. The lights are rather dim. Still, for 15 bucks not bad, and it is meant as a costume prop, not a fully functional toy.

Poorly Constructed - Not worth the money
Disappointing purchase. One of the red collapsible light saber tips broke off almost immediately with no impact. Switches for light effects stick and are cheap causing light to flicker or turn on/off unexpectedly. Light itself is very dim and can only be seen if room is completely dark. Just a very cheap feel all around. Other character light sabers (for example Darth Vader) are much higher quality.

It was a good Darth Maul‘s lightsaver
It was really good I really enjoyed it but be Alerted this toy needs batteries for it to work but once you get the batteries the toy will be just like the actual real life thing

Fine product for the cost. Wouldn't pay more than this.
For the cost it's a perfectly usable costume accessory. Saber bladed pop out and fold back in. They are a bit stubby compared to how big the handle is, and the light on them is a bit weak. But it's a cheap kids toy, so don't expect too much. Probably won't hold up to and sort of battle. Not going to try it either. Literally just like any toy light saber you find in the store.

Cheaply made and overpriced
First off, the shipping was $15 and the item was $22, so right away I should’ve steered clear. But my son saw this in a YouTube video and I wanted to get it for him. Well, the mechanism for getting the sabers to pop out and retract is stupid. Way to difficult for a three year old. And the cheap plastic locking mechanism broke in less than a week. It’s just not worth the money.

Darth Maul Prop
For the price, it was a nice prop. The blades stay extended but do not stay inside the center handle. The glow can only be seen in a dark area.

I read the poor reviews on here and I thought to myself
I read the poor reviews on here and I thought to myself, "How bad could it be?" I mean, my 5-year old wants to be Darth Maul for Haloween and my 2 choices in light saber appear to be this $20 one or a $50+ one...for a 5-year old that is going to move on, I am not willing to pay the price for the more expensive one. With that being said: This thing was underwhelming even though I was expecting a pretty terrible product. I can see how it will break easily, and the lights are so dim you can BARELY see them in TOTAL DARKNESS. Listen to the other reviewers...buy 2 regular light sabers and duct tape them together to make a double-bladed one...this thing really is a complete pile of you-know-what.

Got for my 5yr old. It's a good size for him. It lights up but dose not make noises. Plastic seems like a good material.

Déçu par rapport au prix de la qualité: Lumière très très faible, le système de verrouillage de la lame d’un côté ne fonctionne pas.

Expensive for a costume accessory when cheaper models are out there. I should of read the small print. Doesn't light up very well, so won't be using it, it will be just for decoration.

I just received it in the mail before due date and I gotta say it’s amazing, hasn’t broke on me and lighting it up is really unique I like it and I have no complaints on it.

Lo quality....I already had to reassemble one end of the lightsabre when it came apart.

Item took a while to arrive and broke upon first use! My son was devastated as he'd been looking forward to it so much. Seller also refused return! Don't bother!
