Works great. Removed all stains and left a very clean appearance on our lobby furniture. Easy to use. Light weight even filled with the water. The stem feature was amazing. I highly recommend this small unit over renting a large capacity cleaner. Worth the money and time saved.

Nice slick little cleaner for pet owners and everyone else who has a lot of spots and stains on their carpets from life happening. The tanks are of adequate size to hold plenty of cleaning solution and dirty fluids as one cleans the rugs. It leaves the carpets significantly less wet than I imagined it might, which is a great bonus for me. The cleaner allows one to clean just bad spots and larger areas as well, and it is designed with efficiency in mind for the operators. The only think I have had to add to the operation is to cut a 3/4" piece of plywood and smooth out the edges so I can move it along under the cleaner so the machine can get rid of all the hot air that is generated under the cleaner and seems to not allow it to operate as cool as I think it should. It runs cooler and therefore it should last longer with the board under it during operations. This might be part of some kind of planned obsolescence or maybe a very slight design flaw, but the cleaner operates just fine without the board under it, but I like the board-aided operation better. The cost of the cleaner is a little steep, but after seeing the good results, it is acceptable.

An update a/o 7/16/2025...God knows what the Tollers got into but it was ALL on the carpet this morning. The only addition to my highly favorable past review is the steam never gave out despite an hours' constant use. That's better than our coffee makers! I am ALWAYS suspect of Marketing's claims but I am SUCH a Bissell homer that I will only use Bissell cleaning solution. I also used the previous generation cleaner and it's obvious they listened to customer feedback with incremental improvements. An exceptional company. Written Thanksgiving, 2024. I'm even more impressed. Decades ago I bought two Super 99s while in Shanghai. VERY unusual colors, never seen colors/themes in the states, one light grey and the other gold/white. About 2010, our first Toller, Oscar, carpet bombed the grey and it has resisted EVERY attempt to remove DARK stains. Until now. This gizmo has almost completely removed stains with one session and I expect the stains to completely disappear. Outstanding performance! The g/w was just gifted by Willie Toller who is fighting a bout of bloody gastroenteritis. Even though I cleaned it quickly, I was concerned (first about Willie!) that it had set. Two passes and there is no way one can tell it was gifted by a Toller. This machine is DEFINITELY worth the bucks. Now on to the original review... I'm clearly a Bissell homer but they deserve the business. My first B rug cleaner was a MONSTER that looked like the aliens from Dr. Who. But it worked great. I bought the earlier version of this design, without steam, a LONG time ago and was very pleased. One of our Tollers recently had a lot of sedation and he had bowel problems and let's just say the gifts left on the floor were quiet varied indeed. The steam function on this made short work of any version of poop he could produce and I believe the steam makes a huge difference with odors. Nowhere was there any scent left that I could smell and the pups did not linger anywhere near the cleaned spots. THIS is definitely worth the up-charge. They also significantly improved the design, better hose stowage and the long extension cord holder seems to hold the cord better. To update (May 2024), I used this on a set-in stain on broadloom which was partially removed by the earlier version. This machine removed it in short-order. It also removed water stains on a berber in the basement. Quite an impressive gizmo.

The steam comes out intermittently, out of a small area and is not very hot. The water shoots out in a narrow pattern, much more narrow than the suction head. The suction is fair, not very good. The tanks are very easy to fill and empty. Overall the Bissel gets the job done but slowly. I was going to give 3 stars because of the performance of this machine but I gave it 4 stars because it's a relatively cheap machine and I can't expect it to perform much better for what it costs.

EDITED REVIEW: MULTIPLE UPDATES. Waited a few months to write this review to ensure it works as well as it did when I bought it. It doesn’t disappoint! This thing has POWER! It sucks the stain and solution up so dry time is minimal! There’s no leakage at all. I’ve used this more than 10 times and I have not noticed a leak at all. I do spend the time making sure I put it away nicely, and I do make sure I clean the attachments and hoses after each use. I love that it comes with multiple attachments for car and other furnishings. The size: let’s talk about the size. For being such a small, portable machine, it doesn’t skimp on power! I love that it’s not big, bulky or heavy! I can lift with ease. The speed is fine. I really haven’t seen any decline since I bought it. I really love the steam feature, but don’t put it near skin. Steam is hot. Please use common sense when using this function. I really love this machine for the car! It cleans my seats better than any other carpet cleaning machine! Being that it’s smaller, it’s not as noisy as most carpet cleaners, which is a plus for saving the ears! UPDATE: and as of today, 1/26/26 the machine stopped working. Won’t spray at all (SEE VIDEO) No matter what I do. I purchased it in June of 2025. I am absolutely disgusted that I spent $250 on this thing and it won’t even work now. UPDATE 3: I have to give kudos to Amazon since they offer product support for items like this. I found my way to Bissell customer support via my order here on Amazon. Within a few moments, I was connected to Bissell Customer Service. The rep was very helpful in trying to troubleshoot why my machine stopped spraying. When all efforts were exhausted, he decided it was in my best interest to ship me out a new hose and attachment cleaner head free of charge. I cannot be happier. This review went from 5 stars down to 1 (and I rarely do that) back to 5 stars for exceptional customer service!!! Hopefully the new hose and attachment works! TBC….

I used this in my truck...which was very needed. It worked great. I did have to repeatedly use it because of how bad the floor board in my truck was, but it did the job very well even so. It is sturdy and the steam option helps so much. The water container makes it seem like it wont last long but I was surprised even using the spray and steam option, it lasted pretty long. The dirty water container is awesome. It comes apart easily to clean it which is so nice....I wish my big bissell cleaner did that so I can clean that tank better. The design on this is great and very useful

This is Hastings, our ridiculously adorable Cavachon, who, as you can see by his expression, is anything but apologetic about having thrown up on my snow white bedroom carpet. Happy day, thankfully, I had ordered this little gem a few days before Hastings’ tummy disaster, little knowing how desperately I was going to need it. When I discovered the carpet disaster, I raced to the garage where my new purchase was, awaiting just such a carpet emergency; I almost hugged it in my relief, though I had serious doubts as to what it would be able to do to eliminate this particularly nasty mess. I will spare you the “before” images and jump to the happy ending. Not only did this super portable and easy-to-use dream machine make short work of Hastings's tummy indiscretion, but it even triumphed over ancient stains in the guest room from a spilled can of Coke that had defied even professional stain removal attempts. I used the generous sample bottle of cleaner that was helpfully included in the box (THANK YOU BISSEL) and had some left over, which was surprising. As a pet professional, I can’t tell you how low my expectations were. Some pet accidents are truly permanent if they’ve been allowed to sit very long on fabric, and Hasting’s little debacle had sat almost 24 hours before I found it. I watched hopefully as the sudsy water surged into the fibers and literally erased every trace of the nasty yellow stain right before my unbelieving eyes. Not only did it remove the stains completely, but thankfully, two weeks later, the nap on my carpet still looks refreshed. Unlike other machines I’ve tried, it has left no telltale evidence of clumped carpet fibers to mark the spots. Instead of resurfacing as many supposedly cleaned spots do, I still have a lovely white carpet with no trace of tummy problems anywhere. Truly is my new favorite home cleaning product. If you have pets or kids, you can count on issues like this one, whether it’s on your carpet or the brand-new couch in the den. Suddenly, you don’t have to lie awake at night worrying about stains (am I the only woman who does that?). This amazing machine will pay for itself dozens of times over in the years you have it, and you’ll sleep better at night knowing it can handle whatever life or your pets deposit on your floors.

Pretty good! Well designed. Well made. Nice size for autos or cleaning a stain on the carpet inside the house. Two things though, it is lacking a crevice tool for tighter spaces. I bought to clean up a spill in my car between the drivers seat and drivers door frame. The provided tools could clean the area a little more than half way. But needed a crevice tool for the rest. It doesn’t come with one. The other thing is that when I first turned it on to the water plus steam mode, the steam was colder for a couple minutes so I turned it to the steam only mode and then it got hot. When I turned it back to water and steam, the steam remained hot. The tools provided work well but it would be nice to also have a tool wider than 5” in order to make the job faster but maybe the machine is too small to handle enough suction for a wider tool? Overall it’s handy and does a good job for what you’re given. I do recommend it so for.
