Fantastic ukelele for the beginner.
Lovely Ukelele with a lovely tone. This is a great deal as you get spare strings, tuner, strap, cleaning cloth, etc. It stays fairly well tuned, though of course, these are new strings so I expect some movement. This is my first attempt at playing a Ukelele and it has been a real pleasure learning with this instrument. Learning a few chords enables you to play many songs. I had a problem with a split in the bag. This was quickly dealt with by customer services. I received a new bag quicker than the promised date. Great product, great service. Update. Have been playing for a year now. I bought a few other ukeleles in different sizes. This solid mahogany top is very unusual at this price. A lovely instrument. I have used it in a public concert. It stays in tune. Reliable. Good tone and resonance. For the quality and the gear you get at this price it's amazing. Would highly recommend.

Nicely made instrument. Great value for money
I purchased this Ukelele from reading the reviews and they mostly gave it high marks. I think they were absolutely right. Now, I am a total beginner at music, but I do know about woodwork, having made furniture for many years, and in my opinion, the woodwork is excellent and the finish really good. No marks or chips, no excess glue run out. the shape is lovely with a nicely rounded top edge to save your wrists from scraping, realy good. I'm told cheap ukeleles often go out of tune, well after a few practise sessions it did need re-tuning but after a further couple of weeks practicing every day for at least 20min, I have not had to do it again. The rest of the kit is fine considering the price, the carry bag is lightweight but seems sturdy enough. It has a carry handle and also strapping for use as a rucksack. It came with a small electronic tuner and battery. It worked but so small I could not see it easily with my less than perfect eyes. But all I can say is for the price I am very pleased, it beat my expectations and I have no hesitation in giving it 5 stars.

Looks great, sounds great and exceptional value for money
I’ve been toying with the idea of getting a ukulele for some time so when lockdown was imposed for a second time decided then that time was now. After much research I opted for the Aklot tenor ukulele as it was sensibly priced and came with a selection of accessories including a tuner (essential), strap, plectrums, cleaning cloth, spare strings and carry bag. It also came with a little beginners booklet and a chord chart which was very useful for getting started as I was a complete beginner. The ukulele is a wonderful bit of craftsmanship, very well made with nice little touches such as the bird shaped bridge and engraved bird and makers name in the headstock, all the components such as the tuners and fretboard etc are top quality. Tuning the ukulele was very easy using the supplied tuner, simply clip it onto the headstock, select the Uc option and it indicates when each string is perfectly tuned. The ukulele sounds exceptionally good with a rich sound that surprised me a little, I was expecting it to sound a bit tinny, but it resonates superbly and holds the notes well, and unlike some ukuleles that I read reviews on this one doesn’t need tuning every 5 minutes, although I tend to check the tuning at the start of every practice session. Overall I am very pleased with my purchase and would certainly recommend anyone thinking of taking up the ukulele to consider an Aklot.

Great uke. Disappointing strap.
Unfortunately I'm giving 4 stars when the instrument deserves 5! The ukulele is - in my opinion - well finished with no glue splashes or blemishes or sharp fret. ends. It is well balanced and easy to hold, and when strums has a nice tone. The instrument holds its tuning and the built in tuner works well. I have only played it acoustically and not through an amp. The case is adequate but will be replaced for a sturdier one if I travel by road, rail, or air. Now the reason for the 4 stars. The strap is bad! That is my opinion. It was difficult to attach, it is thin and the buckle tends to move unaided. I'm having to use a strap I already own. As for the other items: leaflets, plectrums (on a uke! Really) They aren't worth rating. It is however a great ukulele and well worth buying.

Great value Tenor ukulele
I have some experience of playing the accoustic guitar but recently wanted to try playing the ukulele Read the reviews on the Aklot Tenor solid mahogany ukulele and although sceptical due to the price thought it was worth taking a risk. On unpacking my initial impression was it looks a really well finished instrument and as far as able to tell it is of all solid construction. The accessory kit is welcome. The tuner seems to agree with my other tuner and is very easy to use. The strap is nice quality and the rest of the accessory's will be useful. I tuned it and checked the intonation which according to the tuner is perfect. I am really impressed with the finish and cant fault it with no signs of excess glue. The biggest concern I had was the frets might be sharp but on my instrument they were very smooth. On starting to play in my opinion the tone is really nice and it has good sustain. The only criticism is that on my one the action is a little high 3.5mm at the twelfth fret but I will let the instrument settle for a week before adjusting. That said it is easy to play out of the box. This is my third ukulele, the first being a Flight concert round back which my wife has commandeered! I built a second from a kit which was not a straight forward as the advert implied and had to be modified in a number of ways to make it playable and I am still trying to dress the frets. The Aklot definitely sounds superior to this one. To summarise I am very happy with the Aklot and think for the price or even spending another £20 or £30 would have been lucky to find a better one. I was tempted to give it a 4 star rating due to the previously mentioned slightly high action but feel considering the price and the otherwise excellent quality and value that would have been harsh. UPDATE After removing 1mm from the base of the bone bridge to ( a common and easy adjustment to guitars and ukuleles) it has made the good ukulele into an excellent one. I can only highly recommend the Aklot Tenor to anyone looking to buy their first Ukulele or those who want to upgrade.

Solid wood board and warm sound!
It is very well made, and I have many compliments on its sound! I love the not too much sophisticated aspect of it. And the warm colour is very nice. They provide with a song book that is nice, and a few plectrums. The case is ok but I bought another one that is more neutral (no brand on it) :)

What a Bargain!
Just WOW! This is my first personal Uke (the kids have cheap soprano ukes from elsewhere), and I am amazed by everything about it - the quality is great, the sound (tone) is fantastic, no issues with bridge / nut height etc and it just feels good in the hand. Then consider all the goodies you get thrown in - gig bag, strings, strap etc and you cannot contemplate the value for money of this beautiful little instrument. I must admit, I was nearly put off by the price but wow, am I glad I went down this route. This is hailed as a great starter kit and it really is. Once you have played your first four easy chords you can't put it down. Would also be ideal for the advanced / professional player who doesn't want to take their super-expensive uke to the pub jam. The built in tuner is a godsend. Which brings me to a little criticism (and advice). The batteries (2xCR2032) are not fitted when it arrives and there are no instructions to fit them or for that matter find them! If they are not loose in the box, check the gig-bag pocket. They fit in a compartment next to the output jack. This compartment is a Drawer NOT a door so be careful when opening. Both batteries into the compartment with + side facing the jack. BUY ONE and Happy Strumming. - Nitty, 55yo Wannabe :)

Great value for money
Bought for my grandson to learn on as my guitars and ukuleles were too big for him. This is the perfect size for an eight-year-old’s hands. He loves playing it and it’s very good quality.
