9 Inch Drywall Pole Sander – Wall Sander for Painting Prep, Adjustable Drywall Sanding Pole with Extension Handle, Ideal for Wall Finishing & Renovation Projects

We moved in to our new built home a few years ago. Started seeing signs that the "builder grade" paint was showing the poor quality on some of the walls. I debated getting this item or spending a lot more money on upgrading to a sander that would vacuum the dust when you sanded. I went with this set. This sander works fantastic. The difference between sanding and not sanding a wall or ceiling is night and day. Sanding will remove many imperfections and give you a good surface to apply new paint. The only down side is the dust. I can see where the sanders that vacuum the dust are so expensive. I had the windows closed so there was no draft, but the dust went everywhere. I was hoping the dust would drop straight down and be an easy cleanup. It didn't. Still debating about buying the one with the vacuum or not.

This thing works great. Also glad that it came with all types of grit sandpaper. One less trip to the big box store. Easily glides over the wall and pivots well.

Disc is so loose on the handle that all it served to do was annoy me. The handle is lightweight aluminum that is very fragile and feels like it would break under pressure. I have 8' ceilings, so it seemed like I could have used another foot of handle.I had ordered a better one November 20th and it was back ordered for a month. I was told it would arrive Christmas eve. I was not happy about that since I had hoped to have the bedroom sanded and painted before Christmas. When I found out it wasn't due to arrive until the day before, I tried to cancel the order to no avail. At least Amazon offered me a refund on my monthly prime payment. Since the sander was going to arrive too late, I decided to order this one in hopes it would come sooner and I could get the job done. It arrived a few days before Christmas and turned out to be a useless piece of crap. I gave up on trying to fix it and make it usable. The first one arrived a day or two after, but had no handle with it. Luckily I had an old broomstick that I use for a roller extension. I didn't get the bedroom done in time for the holidays, and since i tried to use/fix this sander, I was unable to return it. Not a happy camper.

I found the product reach was convenient for high up the wall on my ten foot ceilings until it broke after less than ten minutes. The connection between the pole and the sander was made of plastic (see attached).The pad and spares would have been useful if the product had held together. I will probably try to find a decent broom handle to use as a replacement.

Works great, comes with extra sandpaper. Loved this product, easy to use and my walls look great!
