Looks smart and the magnet holds the door well without being too strong.

I bought this to hold an outwardly-opening exterior door that has a powerful overhead door closer. It's performing that task perfectly. It matches my brushed stainless steel door furniture, holds the door firmly, yet releases easily with a sharp tug.There are two ways to fit it: with adhesive pads or by drilling. I chose the drilling method. It comes with the bag of screws you see in the main photos. For fitting the small receiver part to the door, use two of the small screws. I made small 2mm pilot holes first. There is a captive bolt that pokes through the base plate, for you to screw on the top part.For fitting the magnet arm to the wall or floor using screws, again you have two choices. You can use three small screws and the wall plugs included. You get the screws and wall plugs, although as always their suitability will depend on your particular material. Alternatively, for attaching to hard materials like brick, you can use the expanding bolt. I chose this method. You drill a 7 or 8mm hole (I forget which, but I measured the end of the bolt) and tighten it up. No need for wall plugs. It is extremely solid.If you attach using adhesive, be aware that the pads need a larger contact area and hence you must use the supplied discs behind each part, as shown in the main product photos. I would say use screws if you can, because the finish is neater without the discs. I cannot comment on the strength of the adhesive because I didn't use this method.

Works very well and has good strong pull that holds the door open against a door closer that is fitted. it would have got 5* but for the fixing screws provided. Despite drilling a pilot hole two of them sheared off leaving me having to rotate the mounting plate for some new holes and dig out some decent screws. Best to abandon them for decent ones as otherwise works well and of good quality.

Wanted to attach this and stop the door from swinging, to begin with used the basic sticky model but that did not work so tried the screw model and it all was fine then.Simple product, but great to have two different options to secure, would highly recommend!

Magnet should of been stronger, unfortunately the polished surface is alot to be desired. Sharpe edges I had to file down. I would of returned this product but I need it straight away due to ill health.

Having recently completely overhauled my tip of a garden for something lovely to look at we wanted something to help keep the back kitchen UPVC doors open in the nice weather as they always swing shut either under their own weight or with the slightest breeze. Although I have double doors I was only confident enough to gamble in trying one out initially. This thing is amazing and using the sticky pads I stuck one part to the door frame and the other to the door itself which took all of 30 seconds and it does exactly what it should. I open the door and the magnets lock together keeping the door open. The pads stick very very well and the door stays open until I give it a little more of a pull and the magnets disengage and I can shut the door. Goes without saying I am awaiting the arrival of another one to put on the other door. 👍🏻 Brilliant

Easy to install and look great

Easy to install but too weak to hold open an internal fire door with a mechanical closure. Unfortunately it’s stuck on to the door and the skirting board and can’t be returned without causing damage.
