Why did you pick this product vs others?: Because of all the above. Wifi extender: It extended my internet from my Xbox one s to the modem, router. Works well: Caused my internet to increase from 6.5 mbs on my Xbox one s to 250 mbs big time increase. Ease of setup: Very easy to install took like 5 to 10 minutes. Compatibility: Works well on Xbox Quality: Nice build to it. Value for money: Good price to save from the headache of low internet speed. This thing made downloading gaming much easier and quicker.

Did not work for me

So this one is kind of on me. I bought this WiFi extender thinking that it was a WiFi dongle for a laptop that allows the laptop to connect to WiFi. This product is not meant for that purpose. This is a WiFi EXTENDER, so I guess you can like plug it in to a router and have it boost the signal a bit. Honestly, I'm not really sure how it works and I don't really need that functionality. So my only advice is make sure you check that this will accomplish what you want before buying it - unlike me!

I built a workshop in the backyard. I noticed I had a weak signal and some pauses in my wifi. Initially I couldn't connect to it. The next day I plugged it in and found the repeater on the wifi; it worked. I have full bars now. I'm not sure of the speed of improvement because you'll only be able to use 2.4g, but that's what most cameras and related things use. I wanted a USB powered, so I wouldn't have to use an inverter in shed as that uses more power. This will work plugged into a small battery so it's extremely portable. I plan to to the range next, down the street but I'm happy it covers my property.

My 9 yr old read that a wifi extender would allow his drone to fly further so I bought this for him. Works perfectly, he says his drone flys three times further than it use to.

I can't really notice a difference and not sure that I even have it connected correctly, but will try a few more things and update review accordingly. As far as wifi boosters go, it seems like a great price so I am hoping I can get this to work. The instructions that came with it were a little unclear to me, but I am not very technical savvy. However, for an item that is supposed to be plug in and go, it should be easier to figure out.
