This is an excellent newborn/starter set, complete with everything required for growing with your infant’s feeding needs. The extras are also a bonus: bottle brush for cleaning, pacifiers, and travel caps. The bottles are made with BPA-free plastic, and the “natural” style nipples seem to more closely resemble the shape and contour of a breast, which should help with the transitioning between breast and bottle feeding. Even better, there’s a built-in colic reducing feature, making this a truly well-balanced bottle style. The only potential negative I would note is these bottles are squatter and potentially wider around than many other makes and models, which could effect how they fit in “universal” bottle holders or diaper bag pockets. This wasn’t a problem for me, but it’s worth double checking before committing to the purchase. I personally love this set, and I’m super thrilled to have received it off of my Prime baby registry! I also purchased the Phillips Avent breast pump conversion kit that allow me to use these bottles directly with various popular breast pump brands (Medela, Evenflo, and Ameda).

Easy to care for, durable, basic bottle. The size 1 nipple is slightly too fast for my preemie baby (born at 34 weeks, started using these at 37 weeks). She tends to spit up more after using these than with the Comotomo bottles but I don’t think it’s the bottle design, just the size of the nipple. Great starter set if you plan to bottle feed and breast feed. My little one goes from breast to bottle easily with these. My favorite part is the simple bottle design. We’ve used other brands in the past with all the different parts, and that ends up getting old really quickly. I looked into these bottles with baby #4 because I got a spectra pump through insurance and these are the only non spectra bottles that fit the pump (there are adapters now so that you can use standard opening bottles). When we got pregnant with #5 I decided to go with them again, so that says something!

Very Good Product

I have used avent bottles with all my kids. Never had leakage issues (not even with the natural glass ones which i adore when they graduate to the large size). The only downside to these is plastic being able to stain. Which is of no fault to avent. I rank these. 4x the glass a 5. If i used glass, i could have kept it for all my children and reused. However i was able to only use the plastic ones for my first 2 children and upgraded to glass when i had to toss the original set due to staining and age. Repurchase the tips of course. I had one more child and decided to get the small set again. I suggest the natural glass ones as well for when they get older for the few months before weaning off bottles. They are incredibly sturdy and pathetically easy to clean and have never leaked for me. Just make sure the tip is fully in the base of lid.

Bought this bottle starter pack to try out these bottles for our first kid. The kit is great! The bottle brush is nicely shaped to clean the bottles & parts well, plus the opposite end is like a corkscrew that we use to clean inside the nipples. I also like the pack comes with caps for the bottles so you don't have to use a nipple. I often pump directly into these bottles & then use the cap to seal the bottles instead of a nipple + domed lid. The pacifiers were the first ones we used with our kid & he seemed to like them just fine. I do wish the pacifiers were able to have a pacifier clip put on them - there's nowhere to loop it through. Also, I wish the pack came with more size 0 nipples. I don't know anyone who would buy this kit for anyone EXCEPT a newborn and no newborn should be using more than size 0.

We like all this set offered, and the price was cheaper than getting a set of 4 bottles. The brush really only works for this set (it's pretty big and not skinny to fit in some other manufacturer bottles. The pacifiers are the same as what we came home with from the hospital. My son took to the slow flow nipple easy, and the larger width bottles are easy to hold. We sterilized this set with the Avent sterilizer and were able to fit everything in there easily.
