HE3D Open Source Ciclop DIY 3D Systems Scanner Kit for 3D Printer Advanced Laser Scanner, Injection molding Plastics Parts

Pros: Assembly was easy Parts were all there Packaging was good Cons: Camera doesn't work (I tested on multiple systems and then swapped it out) The calibration board is there but it is not printed so you have to print on paper and attach it It has never successfully calibrated the platform. I have tried for hours. I have a grid showing for over 150 degrees but it still never worked. Tried multiple OS, since I am a Linux user, and here are the results: 1) Windows installs easily but never worked 2) It will not install on Ubuntu 17.04 or newer. The software has not been updated in 2 years 3) The repositories are down to get the required package to compile on my own 4) The Raspberry pi image is nowhere to be found. This was a huge waste of money. Total junk.

5 stars guys. Nice job. You really take "Do it yourself" to the next level. Maybe add in the instructions or product description that a soldering iron is required. Better yet, maybe include any instructions whatsoever next time? 5 solder pads were completely missed. Had to finish the job myself. Note to future customers: If the motor AND lasers don't work, check the solder pads on the back of the board.

The product is very poor quality, I didn't expect this to be high end due to the low cost but this is bad even for a cheap knock-off. The components do not fit together well, you'll have to bend and hack away to get the parts together. We now have the scanner built, the software installed and the scanner board will not connect with the software. I have searched on line for a solution with no luck. My advice is to spend another hundred dollars and buy a different scanner.

It’s not completely compatible with Windows 11 I loaded in the software and put it together and couldn’t get anything to scan right not what I was expecting due to the videos I did everything the documentation said to do but I is what it is.

It was cheaper to buy this kit than to purchase the pieces and print it myself. Unfortunately, it didn't come with any assembly instructions. It also came with no software and no calibration instructions. It does scan things but so far everything is fuzzy and unusable. I'm sure once I figure out the calibration on this thing I will be wearing it out. If I can get some successful scans from this things I will come back and change my rating. So far though it has not lived up to my expectations.

Could use installation instructions had to go to you tube kind of hard to get assembled

This scanner is amazing. The problem is the people not the scanner, all you have to do is follow the instructions and install the drivers and UAAAALAAAA!! MAGICK. Good technical support and software. The lasers are amazing in the scann 3d and do the job.

The scanner program does not come with the scanner itself. Also the instructions state in it that I go to GitHub for the program but it is not available anymore. I want to know how you can sell an item when the program is no longer available for the item. So now I have a useless scanner that I have no program to because I even emailed the company it came from and the email they sent me nothing worked on it at all. I will be getting my money back. Completely I satisfied with this product.
