Takes some time to figure out but works really well
I got this to use for goat fecals and while it's been a task getting used to it the quality seems to be great and it has multiple adjustment levels which is nice.

Great Scope!
Bought this microscope for my niece and she absolutely loves it! It’s already been put to use and she’s been able to identify microbes from her plants that helped her clear issues.

Diifficulty With Camera Software
I've only had this item for 2 days but the frustration is pretty high. A big selling point was the ability to use a camera and display the images on my computer screen. I have loaded the software , it says it was successful. I try to open it and it says there's a dll missing and it can't open. I've tried several times. I've looked at a few basic things and it's very cool , but I really was counting on being able to display images on my computer screen.

Do Not Buy This
Absolute garbage, arrived out of alignment with no way to adjust. It was a gift for our daughter so too much time elapsed between ordering and her opening it to return it.

It looks of much better quality than it turned out to be
I really liked this microscope at first site. It looked and felt well built but I soon discovered that it severely lacked where it was most important... the optics. It has been a long time, but I have used binocular microscopes before so I was not starting from scratch. I was unable to view a single image (no separate or non fully overlapping circular images) when viewing the specimen though both oculars. You are supposed to adjust the distance between them until the two images merge but it would just not work. Maybe it is something wrong with my eyes so I gave it another chance. When viewing specimens, there was always a super annoying glare, haze, and focus never seemed very sharp. Of course some of this may be due to smudges, improper use (me), etc. but overall I got the impression the optics are very cheap thus making these issues even more apparent. The highest magnification optic (100 / 1.25) was completely unusable as the image was extremely dark. Light does pass through if looking through it once removed from the head so I guess it is misaligned or just plain bad. For the most part, I could only use the 4 / 0.1 optic as it was the only one that felt acceptable even though it too had glare, haze, etc. The USB camera was a nice addition and it was way more comfortable to use but I was not too thrilled with its resolution and/or clarity. I was seriously thinking all the optics were dirty... All the other bits and pieces were "a dime a dozen" but good to have, just know you would soon have to buy better ones. Long story short, this microscope does not seem to be something I want to keep. I had purchased it to encourage my kids to explore but it is just too hard to get anything useful out of it so I am returning it. I found an alternative that has a 10in screen and can both see objects illuminated from above, along with objects on slides illuminated from below. Most digital microscopes with screens tend to not do slides, but this one does. I think it will get much more use from my kids, and all the family. I am aware this microscope has a top light, but I did not bother to even test it. In any case the minimum magnification is still too much to view, for example, a coin (educated guessing so don't hold me to this). The other one I purchased has interchangeable heads that allows viewing larger objects too, plus optics such as the ones used on this model, for the tiny stuff you view on slides.
