got this booster seat for my daughter, and it’s been such a great transition from her full car seat. It’s lightweight yet sturdy, and the seat padding is comfortable enough for longer rides. She loves that it makes her feel like a “big kid,” while I love knowing she’s still safe and properly buckled in. The cup holders on both sides are a nice touch, they’re perfect for her drinks or small snacks, and they fold in when not needed. The fabric feels durable and easy to clean, and installation took just a minute using the seat belt guide. It’s practical, comfortable, and makes car rides easier for both of us. Pro tip: keep an extra one for grandparents’ or babysitters’ cars, it’s light and easy to move between vehicles.

We bought this booster (and another with a different fabric style) as a way for the kids to have car seats while we traveled without having to pay the expensive rental fees from our rental car agency. (Protip: buying a booster seat like this is often the same cost as or cheaper than renting one when you rent a car, but this one is YOURS to use for as long as you want...so it's often a better way to go than renting the seat!) The seat requires no "installation", as it were, since a seat of this type doesn't require LATCH; that said, it does have the ability for you to adjust the armrests to the height of your child. The cupholders are large enough to accommodate cups of various size, and having two of them means that you can use one for a drink and one to hold a snack cup. The fabric on the seat is soft, and my kiddo finds it comfy; in fact, she finds it comfy enough that she's switched over to using it full-time. This is not the first Graco product we've bought; this is one in a line of Graco items we've bought over the years because of the high quality of their seats--and this booster is no exception. It seems very well constructed, it's easy to move around if you need to swap it into another car, and the features appear to be designed with both the parent and the kiddo in mind. I'd definitely recommend it for anyone in the market for a booster seat!

We were looking for an inexpensive booster as a spare seat for going in friend's vehicles or transporting friends. Because it was not being used as a primary seat we wanted something inexpensive, light, and easy to transport (since it would be taken in and out of vehicles). This seat fits all those requirements wonderfully. It is light enough that our 6 year old can carry it himself in and out of the car easily. The booster fits well on the seats of our Mazda and does not shift around on the seat when no one is sitting in it. The arm rests were a bit difficult to put on, but I feel very confident they will never come off from a child pulling on them! I appreciate that this doesn't have LATCH on it because it would just be in the way. There are boosters with LATCH if that is what you want. We wanted a booster to be taken in and out of the car, so this is perfect for that purpose. I would not hesitate to purchase this same seat again.

I kept my daughter in the big multi point harness car seat until she outgrew it. After much research, I found the Graco Backless TurboBooster Car Seat, Galaxy and it is a great booster seat for her. We like it so much we just bought a second one for the other vehicle. For the last 18 months we've used this product (she just turned five when we bought it). During the first year, we had a three hour daily commute. She has never complained about the seat being uncomfortable and we have not had any issues with the fabric tearing or seams coming apart. It's light enough for her to carry to school for field trips and fits into other vehicles easily. (We've had three of these in the backseat of a Toyota FJ Cruiser at the same time with no problem). I find that car seats are very personal purchases and what works for one may not work for another. My daughter is regular size (not super slim nor overweight) and was about 45 inches tall when we converted to this seat. This seat sits much further back than the big car seat which gives her more room in the back seat for her legs. We also like to use the BubbleBum Inflatable Booster Seat, Black/Silver when shuttling to and from the airport.

We are visiting the US for an extended trip from overseas. On the recommendation of a friend, I bought this car seat - she uses it as a portable option for her daughter. We are traveling between cities by plane and renting a car when we get there. So far, the seat has been very good. It's lightweight and easily portable. There is no installation required - pick it up and put it in the car where you want it, kid sits on it and uses his seatbelt for security of himself and seat. It's a little awkward in the airport, but I think I can add a carry strap to help with that (there are slots in the front where I can loop it, then sling over my shoulder). The seat has two cup holders which slide in and out for bottles and kid-debris. My only drawback to the seat is that, without a back and sides, my son can't sleep properly. Most of our car rides are short, but we had a two+ hour ride, and a seat with a back and sides would have been nice. However, as a portable option for shorter trips, this is ideal, and one with a back and sides would not be portable the way we need it to be. But I would not choose this as my only or primary car seat - it is one for ease of carrying and switching between vehicles.

Bottom line up front - *This base unit fits with the high back unit on similar models - Kudos to Graco for making interchangeable parts* *It's a great, long lasting, easy to clean, inexpensive to replace, booster seat that can be installed and removed with very little effort* This is our second pair of these boosters for our kids, ages 5 and 7, and I bought them to replace the booster seat bases for our previous Graco pair of booster seats with backs. The first pair we purchased was the full car seat and included the 'high back' seat backs (that version costs about $30 more for each). While we were travelling this summer the airline lost the seat portion on both leaving us with only the high back part of the booster, but no seats! I bought these hoping that this base would be a fit for the backs that we already owned, and they are a perfect, identical fit. For the price, and because the kids will use these seats for much longer than they did with their infant carseats, it may even be worth it to have an extra around so that you can let your child ride safely with friends or family without having to remove the existing seat from your car.
