Memories, memories. They were unknown in the UK and came over from Aus on a boat to try their luck here. I was working on a childrens magazine programme for Rediffusion at the old Wembley studios. Television was live in those days. Video tape had not been invented. The Seekers came and sang 'there'll never be another you' absolutely perfectly. Judith Durham with her long thick hair and beautiful voice, all four of them clean fresh and professional. At the end of the programme the telephone rang in reception. The call was for Judith Durham. This song was number one in the UK and their international career had begun. I enjoy playing this disc so much because of this memory but also because all four of them really were superb musicians and the work of all four of them was of the same high standard. It is happy music and is as entertaining today as it was all those years ago.
