Great for Hydrangeas
I bought this for a completely different reason than to use on my garden but it didn’t work out so I thought I’d chuck a bit on my hydrangeas which I did and what a difference it’s made, the colours seen so much more vibrant and my hydrangeas just seem more lush somehow. I’m sure it will work on all plants so it’s worth giving it a try.

Chalk paint additive
This worked perfectly, a little goes a long way, and at a reasonable price would use again good result obtained

Bought for making Homemade chalk paint
Used this to make homemade chalk paint but found it slightly too gritty. Next time I'm going to try to find a a finer powder. Having said that, mixed 2 parts emulsion paint to 1 part chalk and made a perfectly adequate chalk paint for crafting. Gives a nice rustic finish and any rough bits can be sanded off when dry.

I have been adding -this fine calcium carbonate powder to emulsion paint and have been ...
As I could not really afford chalk paint in all the colours I wanted, I have been googling 'make your own chalk paint'. Anyway, I have been adding -this fine calcium carbonate powder to emulsion paint and have been using it to paint - so far- a pine bookcase and a pine stool. The effect has been really good, and what I had expected. (I have, on both occasions, then used Annie Sloan wax to give it a 'finish' - but you won't need to, if you want a fully matt finish).
