Amazon Basics Gel Odor Eliminator, Activated Charcoal, Lavender Scent, 17 Oz, 1-Pack

This worked great to neutralize a cat urine for. Our elderly kitty had some accidents in her last days with us. We have cleaned the carpet but a few weeks later I swear I smelled that odor again. We have cleaned it again. But I still think I smell it in one area. We cleaned again , we were having guests over and I decided to use the odor eliminator. The lavender scent was quite pleasant. I didn’t smell any bad odors. I would buy this again.

This is AMAZING! Truely. We had a guest that left a strong fragrance in our guest room that we could not get rid of. It was a lovely fragrance, but being sensitive, we needed to find a way to get it out. No amount of cleaning or airing out worked. Finally, as a last resort we tried this product. Seriously!! How did I not know about this? It worked like a champ, and we just leave it open in the guest room to keep it nice and fresh in there. I will add to keep the little lid that covers the holes so you can store it and use it again later. It does not have a replacement fragrance! It literally removes scents to clean, no smell at all.

I’ve tried a lot of air fresheners that just mask smells with an even stronger floral or chemical scent, but this Amazon Basics Gel Odor Eliminator is different. I’m really sensitive to fragrances, and I was happy to find that this truly has no perfume smell. What I liked: Truly Fragrance-Free: It doesn’t have that "unscented" chemical odor either. It just neutralizes the air in the room. Effective: I put this in a small mudroom where we keep shoes and a litter box, and it made a noticeable difference within a few hours. Easy to Use: You just peel the seal and let it sit. The activated charcoal seems to do a great job of pulling odors out of the air. One minor thing: Size/Longevity: It works great for small to medium spaces, but for a very large room, you might need more than one. I also noticed the gel shrinks down fairly quickly if it's in a spot with high airflow. Overall, it’s a great value and perfect for anyone who wants a clean-smelling home without the headache of artificial scents!

I use these around the hamster cage area to ensure that he doesn't out-stink us on the in-between cleaning days. I was hopeful for this because I like a low scent alternative so it also doesn't throw off his sensitive little nose. This was too low scent and I didn't think it made any difference whatsoever. So, it got some stars because it wasn't a bad or strong smell... but it also didn't soak in odor as much as my prior odor eliminator. I'll move back to my tried and true.

Seams as good as "Bad Air" brand. I have bought several of the Bad Air jars over the years but the price increase got me to looking for a more reasonable alternative. I believe this is a good alternative. We have 3 dogs in our house and the wife dosen't want us to bath the dogs as often as necessary to get the Funk Off! This product helps mitigate the pet odor house syndrome. And helps with the happy wife syndrome as well.

Used in a small 2 door car with a hatchback door. Its the WORK CAR It smells like oil and shoes and old closet and the occasional stale old food that gets left behind from a forgotten lunch bag. Even tho we always cleaned the car and used many car vent deodorizer and even a carbon air filter spray, and attaching deoderant to the carbon air filters and even spraying the fabric in the cars and wiping the surfaces the car stank. ***we cleaned the car as usual, but removed all the old used up air freshener and added this item in the back seat and threw 1 small ball of baking soda in one of the cup holders in the front the arm and hammer shoe deoderant orange balls) ***The next day, the car smelled CLEAN!!!!!!!! not like fragrance. But clean, like nothing!!! No oil no shoe, no food smell!!! I was sooooo happy!!!! ***one way we prepared the gel container was to only puncture holes in the seal that made the container *closed/seal ** we simply made 5 holes and screwed the plastic lid back on, as the screw lid already has pre made holes **we were hoping this would make the gel last longer, and not dry up or release too much at the same time. **so far so good. I will be buying this gel forever as it removed odor, and i guess the lil orange baking soda ball from arm and hammer gave the car a lil fragrance. **but as long as that car doesnt smell like oil food or shoes, I think it amazing

This is one of the biggest surprise products I can remember in recent history. Its a five because amazon wont let me give it a six star rating. I hate any kind of fragrance, whether it is the smell I want to get rid of or the smell of what is covering it up. I bought this for my car that had picked up an earthy straw smell over the winter. I place one of these in the cubby under the dash board, and within a week I smelled NOTHING! No earthy straw, no lingering fast food from my kids. Just beautiful NOTHING. I have already told a dozen people about this product. With my luck it will get discontinued within a year and I'll never find it again. Once thing to note, letting it freeze in my car seemed to interrupt the progress, so its probably a spring, summer, fall car use depending on your climate.

This is super easy to use just twist off the lid, pull out the seal, and twist it back on. No plugs, no sprays, no mess. It does a great job absorbing odors without releasing any fragrance into the air, which I really appreciate. I knocked off one star only because it works best in smaller spaces, but overall it’s an effective, low effort, no scent solution I’d definitely buy again.
