It is tasty hot or cold

Not as Gingery as I seem to remember it. I ended up having to add another sachet of the Dalgety instant ginger drink to override the very strong Ginseng taste, and make it more like a ginger drink with ginseng rather than a ginseng drink with a hint of ginger as it seems to be these days.

This is an instant granule tea that makes a tasty cup with absolutely no hassle. Dalgety make a few different types of granule tea and I already enjoy their turmeric and ginger blend. Both of these offerings have added honey lifting the other hot or earthy flavours up a bit to a brighter taste which I personally prefer. The ginger isn’t mega hot but you know it’s there and the ginseng is almost imperceptible to my taste buds but you may find that different. The ingredients are fairly transparent as listed below although I did ask the manufacturer what type of ginseng is used and got no reply which is why I’ve docked this product a star in the rating. 30% Ginger 15% Ginseng 27.5% Honey 27.5% Sucrose Some may have preferred this without sucrose as it contains honey but it is a sweet beverage and honey doesn’t really do much in that department especially in a dried granule. If you’re buying a granule tea, you’re buying a processed product so it really shouldn’t be a surprise if it contains some ingredients to enhance flavour but there are no other nasties or additives. This is a great pick me up instant drink with a nice warmth and is sweet enough. You get 30 sachets which makes this an affordable & time saving alternative to chopping and stewing ginger and ginseng. Recommend

These are a larger bag than I expected, and within that, there are 30 individual sachets with the instant Ginseng & Ginger Granules. I have found them handy as they are ready to go and just dissolve in hot water. This is ideal for me as I can take them anywhere and just add my sweetener. They are blended with honey, but I still needed them a bit sweeter for my taste. I tried them first without any additions for the sake of the review and could manage without if needed, so the taste isn't bitter, which is good. I also noticed that these sachets can be mixed into cold drinks, so you can simply add them to water or to rum for a cocktail. Now, I don't personally drink alcohol; however, I will have a guest try this at some point as it sounds interesting, and I have to be honest, I didn't realize how versatile they are. I usually have a lot of ginger in my diet where I can because it's a good anti-inflammatory for the body, however you ingest it. I'm pleasantly surprised by these. My only off-putting factor is the smell when opening the large bag. Also, the sachets, when opened, don't smell great; however, once dissolved, they smell fine.

Good tea. The honey in it makes it pleasant to drink.
