Excellent little unit!
This little compact a/c is a beast!! I love it! I got if for a master bedroom and in height of a heatwave it kept it nice and chilly. I did put up black out curtains to kept out the sun. It was super easy to set up. Directions were easy to follow. The room was cooled in under an hour & it was unbearably hot. Ultimately this little unit cooled my whole apt when I put a fan in the hallway of the bedroom to circulate the air. I’ll be honest I kept it running non stop for 3 days on high in the day & on low setting at night. The air flow is strong. It’s quiet for a portable a/c. It’s no louder than a fan on medium. I’m very happy so far with this unit. It survived & performed well in its first heatwave. If anything goes wrong I will comeback with an update. This is not a paid for review!

Great little AC
This is a great AC unit for our bedroom that gets southern sun exposure - where the central HVAC doesn’t quite do the job. It’s great at cooling the space down (roughly 240 square feet, with a high sloped ceiling). I expect my electric bill will be lowered as this little cooler allows us to set the central AC at a higher temperature house-wide. Prior to using this little guy, we’d crank the central air to keep the bedroom comfortable, while the rest of the house was quite icy. Now there’s temperature balance between the rest of the house and the bedroom. As this is the only portable AC unit I’ve ever owned, I have no other standard to compare it to. Please read the following minor complaints with this in mind. It is a little loud, in that, if one doesn’t sleep with earplugs, it can disturb sleep as it cycles on and off throughout the night. This could be mitigated by using the sleep function so the unit automatically turns off. Consistent with another reviewer, the connectivity is an issue if you plan to use your mobile to control the unit. This is mitigated by ability to use the enclosed remote. Finally, I found the air vent hose easily popping out of the unit itself and out of the enclosed window venting panel. Ultimately, I just put the air vent hose out the window, tossed that frustrating window panel, and left the window slightly open. It still cools the space to seemingly Arctic degrees despite having the window slightly ajar. Overall, it’s a great buy and I would recommend it to others.

Very cool indeed!, works well, window vent easy to install, very pleased
It was a very hot when it arrived so waiting the allotted time to allow refrigerate was tough but well worth it as it cools the room very nicely. The installation was easy. Nice packaging allows, you to lift the box off once you cut all the binding strips so to don't have to lift it out of the box. A little heavier than expected for carrying upstairs, but once there it rolls nicely on the wheels. The set up instructions were easy to follow and the window vent works well. The heat it pushes out through the vent is amazing. The unit is not that loud, but I had no idea what to expect and had chosen this one because of the great "sound ratings" so I'm glad I didn't the the louder ones. It is a little louder than the rotating fans it replaced but the temperature difference is awesome and worth it. I work from home and even sitting only 5 feet from the desk, no one is able to hear it on the conference calls so very pleased with that. The temperature settings and the fan settings work exactly as you would expect with very easy controls run with the remote or on the top of the unit. Very pleased, think we will buy a second one.

Purchased multiple options
I have purchased the 8k btu for a bedroom and both the 12k btu & 14k btu for the living room. 8,000 BTU AC: Works great even with the fan developing a spot without air. My bedroom is about ~125 sqft connected to a ~50 sqft closet that connects to a ~50 sqft bathroom. This cools all of that great, my room gets COLD. I can run it without cycling as long as it’s set to a low setting (61-65°F) or on “dry” mode. Small compared to other machines, easy to move and set up. Nois is as expected, like a loud box fan (I like loud white noise), have not had any leaks or drainage issues. 14,000 & 12,000 BTU ACs: Same experience for both, but I had the 14k longer. The pros are the decent size, and the WiFi option is nice. However, both did not cool my space. I used the 14k for longer and If anything, it made my space hotter. My living area is somewhat small. Open living/kitchen & attached den space are all around 350 sqft, this claims to cool 600 at peak. This cycles too often and the compressor is off & blowing hot air for way longer than it is on (attached photos shows how many minutes it’s on vs off). I followed the directions, I made sure everything was how and where it needed to be, I even insulated the hose. Nothing worked. I even tested it on a cool day where the temp was 65° out and it ended up making my space 76°. The cycling is way too big a disturbance to make it functional as an AC even on a cool day in my experience.

This portable AC unit is performing amazingly so far, it’s been running 24 seven for the past two weeks and it’s still icy cold, the compact size is also another really great feature. It’s not big and bulky like some units, it’s a one of the better priced value for your money items that I’ve purchased.

While this works as I was hoping, it's no in way a "quiet" air conditioner. I have the fan set to low and AC/cool mode turned on and it's very loud - if I had to guess without having a decibel reader it's probably around 58-62DB. Not as loud as a vacuum, but you have to raise your voice to speak over it. Another thing is installation -- while it was kind of easy to get set up, if your window length is too long to just the 1 piece of window cover, but too short to use all three, you'll be in for an annoying install. My window is about 46 inches (vertical install) and because it was too short to fit all three covers together, I was forced to only use the main cover and extension piece. What this means is that instead of having a solid 5 inch width cover for the horizontal opening of my window, I instead have about 25-30 inches of the main cover that is about 5 inches in width, and then a smaller extension that is about 4.5 inches for the remaining 20 inches. This leaves huge gaps on both sides of the extension piece that I had to stuff foam into to try and block off, but it really looks awful lol. I gave up because it was too hot to care to make it look nice, but it was really annoying. I think if my window was probably 48 inches tall it would have been fine, as all three pieces fit together with very little openings between them. Overall it's not bad if you get it for a decent price. I got it for 379.99 for the 9000 BTU which I think is a fair price.

It’s so perfect for my kids bedroom. Quiet enough and so easy to assemble.
