Outstanding coverage and speed, a must-have for any UniFi setup
After switching my Virgin router into modem mode and moving to a UniFi setup, this U6+ access point has been a game changer. The speed, range, and reliability are miles ahead of what my old router could deliver. Every room in the house now has a strong, stable signal, and even multiple devices streaming or gaming at once cause no slowdown. Setup was quick using the UniFi app, and once connected, it has been completely rock solid. The performance of WiFi 6 really shows here — low latency, great throughput, and consistent stability. It also looks sleek when mounted, with the typical clean Ubiquiti design that fits nicely into any modern setup. I love how much control and customization UniFi gives you. You can create separate networks, set bandwidth limits, monitor traffic in real time, and fine-tune security and access settings. It is genuinely fun to tweak and optimise everything, although maybe that’s just me. While you do need to invest in a gateway or controller to unlock its full potential, the result is a professional-grade home network that easily outperforms ISP equipment. Highly recommended for anyone serious about performance, reliability, and smart home connectivity.

Perfect for my network
I've gone through numerous Wi-Fi routers over the years, always ending up disappointed—either the software was too complicated or too limited. With Ubiquiti, that frustration is a thing of the past. I currently have the Cloud Gateway Ultra and a Ubiquiti PoE switch working seamlessly behind it. The UniFi software ties everything together beautifully. It's user-friendly, even for someone without a deep technical background, and offers a wide range of configuration options. Everything is conveniently displayed on the dashboard, making network management straightforward. Specifically, the U6+ Access Point is a game-changer. You can: Customize VPN Access: Decide which devices connect to which VPN. Control Internet Access: Easily enable or disable access, which is great for managing kids' screen time. Set Up IoT Wi-Fi: Create a dedicated network for IoT devices and isolate them from the rest of your network for added security. The ability to see and control all of this through the dashboard makes it incredibly efficient. However, keep in mind that you'll need a Ubiquiti gateway to fully utilize these features. After experiencing how well these components integrate, I'm planning to transition my entire setup to Ubiquiti gradually. It's a reliable, well-designed system that just works. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a robust, scalable networking solution!

Its Ubiquiti what more do you need to know
Bought as a replacement for an out of warranty one which failed (Daughter Dropped it) I like Ubiquiti kit, it is nice and easy to configure especially if added to existing set up.

Rock solid high performance access point for SOHO, SME or home use
I don't normally write reviews however having not seen a great deal for this new product I thought I would. It's very easy to install with a handy drill hole template. Simple to configure standalone or adopt in a network controller using the mobile app. Excellent performance reaching max FTTC speeds on our line. I am a big fan of Unifi gear as it has been designed by ex-Apple employees who left and set up Ubiquiti. Coverage is fantastic above and below AP placement and in the picture, this was on the ceiling of the ground floor hallway in the centre of the property. Great signal in all rooms above. If you have 3 storeys I would recommend installing on the 2nd floor ceiling and depending on the size of the property you may need 2 of these. It makes sense to buy these for new installations instead of the older generation AC range as these support higher throughput rates and future gigabit/multigigabit networks.

Great access point (need controller)
Great access point fantastic range. Controller software needed for setup. Saved some money as my network provider had the required interface.

Easy to set up, if a little pricey
Decided to go the Ubiquiti route (almost) across the board for my VLAN setup. Although it is potentially more expensive than other kit around I was drawn to the clear management interface. I was a complete novice at the start of the process and have had a very steep learning curve over a couple of weeks setting up VLANS serving the infrastructure, CCTV, IoT and Trusted networks, both wired and wireless and sorting out the intricacies of changing my cameras to feed the CCTV NAS. These units are effectively plug and play on the PROMAX 16- I have 2 broadcasting the same networks and they work seamlessly together (one downstairs and one upstairs). In my previous setup I was simply using a common network for everything (both wired and wireless). The ISP router wireless unfortunately does seem to throw out a stronger signal than these overall, but left patchy reception in a couple of bedrooms. Overall I'm happy to get more even coverage upstairs and down, with the extended network protection of setting up various VLANS to prevent intrusion through any IoT or CCTV device.

Great prosumer AP , bit fiddly to configure
Got this to replace my 10 year old ubiquity AP and very happy with it now its setup. Bit smaller in size and feels more solid. Needs a more powerful POE injector/PSU than the old ones. Setting up done through the app and was a little bit fiddly. Wouldn't connect for a while, then once in you just set the SSID and password and if you want to split the 2.4 and 5 GHz channels. After you can change a few things, but you don't have access to much else. need to buy their router or gateway thing for that. The signal is really good and all my devices connected to it no problem using the same SSID and password. Very impressed overall.
