MPC Star Wars: A New Hope Millennium Falcon 1:72 Scale Model Kit

I built this kit when it was first introduced in 🤔hmmm 1978? It’s a great kit that has huge potential for detail. Your imagination is the limit. Parts fit very well, exterior detail is done well and it makes the builder stretch their skill in gizmology. I used available parts from car models, airplane models and armor models to detail the side and crevices of this spectacular space ship. The model requires more paint than a 1/72, 1/48 or 1/35 scale kit due to its gigantic size in surface area. The details are very good which makes adding more of your own ideas to this ship. Decals were added or you can simply use an airbrush to paint them which I did. The cockpit is somewhat simplistic, yet you can add aircraft cockpit details to this to give it a built in the garage appearance. When weathering something of this nature, you can make this dingy, grimey and used like an old automobile sitting in a barn for years. Have fun building this, you’ll enjoy the end result. This model gives you plenty of wriggle room if you make a mistake in detailing. No one will notice. Good luck modelers!

Had problems with the cockpit and vertical side matching up to be seamless. Also the adjacent side as well. You will need to use liquid modeling putty to seal these gaps if you want to light this up.

Just bought this model, I will update as I build it. It seems like a lot of money for a model kit that was originally made after the movie came out in the 1970's.

I am impressed with the condition it came in . The package was perfect and not even the plastic wrap was damaged. Detail is great, it is easy to put together but fun even for an adult, which whome i bought it for ! Size is as big as I remember my old one to be and the product is authentic, not a cheap knock off. Would buy another model from them again.

The Model Kit itself is pretty cool. There are a few pieces that need additional trimming and filing to get to fit into place. This was also my first entry into modeling so I probably should have picked an easier kit to build. But I learned a lot on this! The material used for the kit accepts alcohol washes with soft pastels really well along with acrylic paints and laquer paints.

La nave es bonita pero en los detalles pequeños es muy pobre su calidad. Instrucciones difíciles de entender pero se logra. Adhesivos deben ser adaptados, la gran mayoría no calza correctamente. Calidad promedio pero cumple el objetivo

Shipping and delivery were quick and I cannot wait to complete this model!

I did not like that it didn't have any battery box as did the original model. Details were good and I enjoyed painting it.
