Excellent value you'll be glad you bought.
I absolutely love this light. My gf had the previos model, so when we saw they upgraded it, we had to try it. The light comes with a ball mount so it's easy to mount it on the camera, and easy to transfer it to a different camera if we change setups. The battery lasts a long time, especially if we turn it off between searches and photos or videos. I love that it comes with two batteries and they can be charged by plugging a USBC cable directly into the battery so that one can be charging while we use the other. The modes are very bright, less bright, red and violet. We are looking forward to using the red light when we go to Malapascua for the mandarin fish dives. I will also use the violet light to see a different perspective of the corals at night. It is easy to switch between modes and then off again by a quick press of the side button. The angle is a good, wide beam, so if our dives won't be extremely long, we leave it on as a search light to light up the reef. It's an excellent, well-made light and we have recommended it to many people already.

Great Little Video Light
I’ve owned a few OrcaTorches in the past. I’ve been very happy with the quality and price. One of my favorites is the D710. With the 6 degree narrow beam it make a great little spotting light. I recently purchased the D710V. What caught me attention was the small size, the 120 degree 2000 lumen beam, and the ball mount. I do underwater video with a large full frame camera. I thought that this would work great as a backlight. On my recent dive trip, I didn’t have an opportunity to do macro video. But I was surprised how well it performed on wideangle and close up. I have a few pictures below to show my testing of the D710V. The first picture below shows screen grabs from the same video clip. On the left side is with no light, on the right side with the D710V. It lit up the foreground nicely adding color, without overpowering it. Next, I have a closeup on an arrow crab, with very nice results. The D710V was bright enough to overpower the dappling from the sun. I pulled back to show how close the light was to the subject. Finally, I have a picture of how I set it up on a small tripod. I’m looking forward in trying the D710V with macro. The quality of OrcaTorch shows in how well it is packaged. It comes in a padded travel case, with a USB-C chargeable battery, ball mount, lanyard and spare O-Rings. The red light is great to signal a boat during a night dive. The UV light, at night shows all the fluorescent critters on the reef. I would recommend two of these for anyone with a small underwater video camera. And as backlight, or macro light for larger cameras.

Night and Day
As an underwater photographer, the Orcatorch d710V dive light is a natural addition to my camera rig. Out of the box, the dive light comes with a ball mount and two usb-c chargeable batteries with both batteries being able to run 90+ min each at max brightness underwater. The construction of the dive light is solid, with an identical size to the normal d710 and using the same batteries making it an ideal pair. The two can be easily differentiated with the video light having a shallower reflector. The dive light produces a clean white and uniform illumination across a broad area, allowing for both macro shots and wide shots restoring a full spectrum of color to return to the subject. With high dynamic range of colors, the post processing of images becomes trivial allowing me to spend more time showing my pictures off to friends and family who have never seen the underwater world. Commonly diving at walls in SoCal in 60-80 ft, this has also become my preferred dive light and saving my D710 spot dive light for communication and as a backup. Although the light comes with a red and UV light, I haven’t found much of a use for these features. With over 15 dives and counting with this dive light, Im quickly building an abundance of videos to share with my family Pictures: with and without light. No amount of post processing can bring the orange back to the starfish

Reliable and price is right
Used this for a snorkeling fill light to record videos in an amazinf underwater phone housing (divevolk). The light was plenty powerful to evenly fill the wide angle lens with no dark edges. The light fills the frame with no hotshots at all. It's very impressive. The color rendering is natural and has a high and low light setting. For added bonus, there's a red light and a uv light. The uv light isn't "bright" but it packs enough to see things that are close. Certain types of coral glow. Kinda cool. The batteries last a long time. The usb c port on the batteries plug right into the cable usbc cable. There are 3 separate o ring seals that seal up the battery so no water comes in. Also comes with extra o rings, charging cable, and a ball mount. I was skeptical about purchasing an off brand but this octatorch performed very well.

Recomendado
