Inadine 5cm x 5cm x10 Non-Adherent Wound Dressings Povidone Iodine AntiMicrobial**G

I had a large leg wound which was refusing to heal and I was having to have daily dressing changes for over a month, my NHS nurse popped one of these onto it and the results were amazing. I purchased this pack so I could take some away with me abroad where I was unable to visit her every day and with her permission she agreed I could change it myself and care for it that week. These were perfect! Individually packed so I could make sure they were sterile and packed safely. I now keep these in my first aid kit in case of any stubborn wounds! Be careful not to touch anything before you’ve washed your hands after touching as they can stain!

These orange squares are amazing. My dad has skin like paper now and even through thick jeans, if he catches his leg he creates a wound which is very difficult to heal. We've found after washing, if we use steri-strips first, don't skimp on these, they are the glue holding it all together, then one of these iodine patches, it seems to heal a lot better, quicker and mostly has combatted infection as well. We then use a melolin dressing with the breathable sticky mesh already incorporated and place this over the top of everything. If necessary, we have used tubi-grip or a crepe bandage, just for extra protection. The longer the first dressing is left on the better. Then remove the dressing and see if the Inadine Patch needs changing before putting another breathable dressing on. Highly recommend this product. Did look at buying the liquid Iodine but I am so clumsy, wherever I spilt it, it is never going to come out so the patches are definitely from our point of view.

I recently ordered these to replace some given to a relative by her nurse. These are the same brand etc. These are really easy to use. Just peel the packet open, peel the inside little white envelope thingy open to reveal the orangey yellow of the iodine soaked strip. This can be cut to fit if needed. It turns whiter as the iodine is absorbed. Pop a supportive dry dressing over the top, or gauze etc. I don't know why we've never had these in the first aid box before but I'll be keeping stocked up from now on. Highly recommend.
