It took about 9 months, but the mirror no longer stays in place. It just swings until it's horizontal. For the most part it stayed in the same place too. I've been trying to fix it, but nothing works. So now I have holes in the wall and will have to find a new mirror

I purchased this over some other options - I wanted the scissor arm for my art deco reno but erred on the side of caution. This is sharing a wall with a pocket door and the drywall anchors are holding steady, something I usually avoid like the plague. I won't be manhandling it either way. The light functions are working great and I didn't notice any distortion on either side side (however I won't be using the magnification side so possibly not as discerning as some others). It came with some degree of charge. I did plug it in to charge a little and didn't see any red flags-just a red charging indicator. Another reviewer mentioned rust. If this becomes an issue I'll update accordingly. We aren't running the vent fan so much considering it's about -30(f) outside. Overall, this appears to be a great value out of the gate. Addressing some negative reviews: You have to remove the mounting plate and install prior to actually mounting the mirror. Derp. Mall makeup is everything.

VERY VERY useful when applying makeup or shaping eyebrows

Nice mirror, works well & simple to install, even though I was replacing an existing mirror and needed to do some jiggling to make everything fit. It charged up in about an hour and the lights are pretty bright. I'm not sure I will use all the different modes, but there are three light temps to choose from, so that's handy if you need to apply makeup to look good under different lighting. The charge seems to be good for about 2 weeks of regular use. I've read reviews where folks complained about the 10x magnification being blurry and unusable, but you need to be close to the mirror (within 4") to make it work, and it works well. It's scary how much you can miss with your naked eye.

I LOVE this mirror. I’m in my 50’s and my eyes are aging so I bought it for the magnifying side. It was very easy to install. Now that I’ve had it a couple months, I find I hardly use the magnifying side. Being able to pull the mirror out to just the right distance lets me use the regular side and still see well to put on my makeup. My bathroom has great light most of the time, but I like having this light for dark, cloudy days. The different lighting tones work nicely as well. I’m extremely happy with this purchase.
