Saves time and water
I used to vacuum all my hardwood floors, which took about 15 minutes, and then mopped the floors, which took another 20 or so minutes. And then I had to wait for the floors to dry. This vacuum mop saves me from having to go over the floors twice and it also dries nearly instantly. On top of that, I can get all my floors cleaned using around 16oz of water/cleaner as opposed to the 3.5gallons of water/cleaner I used with my old mop bucket. This works as advertised and has powered through long human hair as well as clumpy golden retriever hair. It vacuums up large and small crumbs with no problem (It sucked up a whole pretzel twist along with the usual cheerios/breadcrumbs/etc) and also mops up dried drink drips with no problem. This is a breeze to clean up with the self-cleaning cycle doing about 95% of the work. The mop roller removes easily and cleans up quickly. The included brush helps to clean the vacuum head if you notice some dirt accumulation. I set this vacuum up for failure from the get-go and it exceeded expectation. I had a pretty busy party full of finger food, various drinks, and lots of people tracking in dirt. I cleaned the floor using none of the included solution and cold tap water (as opposed to the recommended warm water) and not only did it clean my entire space with a lot of battery to spare, but the floors were mostly streak-free and with no noticeable smudges to go over again. And it did it all with around 16oz of water! The disposal of the dirty water tank is so much easier and cleaner to do than dumping an entire mop bucket of dirty water, as well. My second cleaning using this vacuum/mop went even better as I used the included formula and the floors were clean as expected but also did not have any streaks and had a nice semi-shiny clean look to them. This is easily the best floor cleaning solution I have purchased for my tile floor.

Eureka doesn't honor it's warranty
I bought this vacuum 11 months ago for over $300 and have used it as directed. The other day I pulled the water tank off to refill it and the parts on the bottom that connect it to the unit just fell apart. Upon inspection I can see that the parts are flimsy and look worn out from normal use with city water. I called Eureka and was first told that the model was discontinued so I couldn't order new parts. The agent gave me one of the roughly 8 part numbers that I would need to repair it on my own, suggested I check if other manufacturers are still carrying the part, and didn't mention anything about the warranty. I got off the phone frustrated and reviewed my order and saw that the vacuum came with a 2 year warranty. I called Eureka back and they said that "unfortunately the warranty only covers manufacturer defects and not consumer neglect"!!!!!!! I find this infuriating. I loath a company that doesn't uphold IT'S OWN promises to customers and gives them the runaround. Very uncool and if this isn't resolved I swear I will never own another Eureka in my life. Anyway, I explained that I have been using it as directed and it's clear that the parts are just not robust enough to withstand normal use, that there was no neglect and that this is unacceptable. The agent told me she would follow up with an emal that would allow me to dispute this and then she HUNG UP ON ME! I was irritated, but I was not being rude to her, to be clear. Honestly these companies today are doing the bare minimum and don't seem to have any concern about maintaining customer loyalty or customer experience. It's bizarre. It's now been 20 minutes since I spoke to the representative and there is no email for me to follow up on. It's absolutely unacceptable for an appliance to last only 11 months and the company not uphold it's warranty or provide a way for customers to repair it, and it's absolutely abhorrent to be rude or give customers the runaround when they try to repair their products. Will not buy again and would not recommend unless you enjoy throwing your money away. Besides this I want to mention that while this vacuum would sweep and mop floors at the same time AND is self cleaning, there is still a good amount of work requried to keep it clean and from getting funky, so on my end I will probably go back to something more standard after this (that is not made by Eureka if I have not made that clear).

NEW400 is good for light debris and hard floors
THIS IS BOTH A MOP AND A VACUUM. It is about 75% mop and 25% vacuum. For the light debris (smashed cereal, a chunk of corn, a pea) that gets on the hard floors it works great, but don't expect it to perform like a full size floor vacuum sucking up broken glass or staples or nails or whatever. Imagine a sponge roller that the machine keeps wet and clean and you've got the idea. Cons: Have to plug in yourself to charge (dock is basically just a stand). Self cleaning uses a lot of the water. Tank fills up by the time I am done with the tile in my small kitchen. You pretty much HAVE TO take the dirty water tank out, rinse it, remove the sponge from the housing, rinse that, squeeze the sponge dry, and put the sponge in the holder on the base. If you do not, the sponge will get smelly and dirt will build up in the tank. Pros: Easy to grab and clean with. LIFE SAVER FOR SPILLS!!! Can keep water in the tank so it is ready. Self cleaning feature. Tanks are easy to change. Picks up a TON of dirt, and I mean, you can clean the floor 5x and it will look spotless and this thing will STILL be picking up dirt. Dedicated dirty water tank. Puzzling: Comes with a bottle brush seemingly to get inside the base, but it doesn't go very far in. You could use it to clean the tank I guess? Two power modes, but you will always be using high power.
