Got it assembled and running in about 5.5 hours. My first time doing something like this, and I have big dumb fingers, but a few small tools were all I needed to get through it. It comes with a handy little screwdriver and wrench, and I already had a pair of tweezers and a pair of nippers. Highly recommend the nippers for removing the parts from their molds. Quality item, only swore at it a couple times, and instructions were clear and easy to follow. I’ll be doing one of these again!

So I ordered the stag beetle from ROKR and assembly was relatively straightforward. The problem was it didn’t work… no animatronics. After double checking the wiring I came to the conclusion that it had to be the base. I sent an email to ROKR for a replacement base… I received the new base swapped out the old base and it worked perfectly. Great customer service. I have since bought the Manta Ray…love it.

My 12 and 13 year old children put these together in only a couple hours on Christmas day. The quality was much, much better than I had hoped. I picked up a piece of the model and could not believe how perfectly painted it was, and the tiny little words written on it were perfectly legible, without a hint of offset or smudging. I'm not sure how the metal wings were made, either in a press or using some kind of cnc, but the intricate patterns were laser perfect. I sent a picture to my sister and she ended up buying these for her kids as well, even though Christmas was already over. My kids are very happy with the results, and I am very happy with the product.

Lots of very small pieces. Takes a lot of time and patience, but worth it

This is a great kit that is well thought out with well written instructions. But I have a slight problem that needs to be addressed. One of the parts in the box is the wrong part (P20) and is too short to connect the other part (B12) to it. I have contacted the manufacturer but have not gotten a response about replacing the part. As I said the Kit is great but I would like the correct part to be sent to me and also to be gotten back to about this. When I get the part I will change my review. UPDATE: They did send me correct part but their communication could have been better. Never the less it's a great model kit.

Not comples, but fun to build, and always gets noticed. I have bought 3 in this series.
