It's so cute
Oh I absolutely adore this. I bought it for a friend for her birthday, although it's on my wishlist too. I already knew what it was and how it worked a while ago, so when the product arrived and the sheet it came with was in a completely different language, I was grateful that I knew already. The bank requires two AA batteries, and once you flip the switch to "on", you can place a coin on top of the fish bones. Press it down and the cat will appear, meow, and take the coin with it back into the box. At the bottom, there's also a twisting circle plug thing, which you use a coin to open - this is how you get your money out at the end. It's an adorable novelty "piggy" [more like kitty] bank, perfect for any cat lover. I do highly recommend this.

A piece of junk
A cute idea - in theory. However this is cheaply made trash. The first one I got, the motor was so loud it sounded as if kitty had pulled the cord on a lawnmower every time it went for the coin. So I sent it back. The replacement they sent was quieter (though still quite loud). After two days the cat didn't go back into the box anymore (some internal mechanism had gone kaput). This one I smashed up and is currently landfill somewhere. Idea: great. Build quality: diabolical. Steer clear

The perfect example of the difference between cats and dogs, and a great way to get tips without having to add a service charge.
I saw this in the same coffee shop in germany as the doggy bank and had to get it. It just makes me laugh. They've got the difference between cat and dog right the sneeky cat stealing a coin is just perfect. Igave tis to a friend as a present and her daughter loves it too. Definitly a more rewarding way of saving then waiting for interest from your bank.

Money saving cat
Great product! So cute and easy to use. If you are like me then you will have all the intention of saving money, with this product you can save and with ease you can then get back the money that you have saved. This is a fun way of saving so why would you want to dip into this fund?

What the hell is it saying? Is this thing being rude to me?
I'm not quite sure what to make of this bank. The ones I had seen videos of just "meowed" as they took the coin. The one I received says **something** but God-knows-what it says. Sounds like "Oops! smell OW! Or maybe "You smell OW!" no idea really, but the "meow" sound more like an exclamation of pain than the sound a cat makes. As others have noted, the box is mostly full of the bank mechanism and there is not a lot of room for coins. I have also found that it has a very hard time with large coins - British 50p, £1 & £2 coin seem too large/or thick for the mechanism to grasp. Mine actually ends up pushing 50p & £2 off the front of the box. Having said that, it is very cute but I think I will probably end up returning it as 1) I can't work out what it is "saying" but it sounds vaguely insulting and 2) it only accepts a limited range of UK coins.

Great fun
Very good little gift. The meow sound it makes is good enough to fool my real cat. Worth adding that there's a certain uk site ending with 'box' and beginning with 'fire' that's selling the exact same product at twice the price and adding postage making it £18. ....The free delivery on this from China was very good. About ten days. Great bargain. Great fun.

Had High Hopes but Disappointed
Had high hopes for this toy. I bought it for my 5 year old as a fun way to store all her pennies. Got it out on Christmas day and it didn't work. Not good. The mechanism seemed to be faulty. Brand new batteries couldn't get it going. Sent it back and cannot fault the experience. Just not robust enough.

Need space to stash the cash?
A fun gift to give anyone saving to quit their job due to the financial cuts. LoL. A colleague is taking early exit from her police staff post post so I felt she needed a place to store her payoff. Hilarious purchase that went down a storm. Highly recommend it for a bit of fun. Totally MET my expectations.

Consegna eccellente in 24 ore!

Tirelire sympa.
