ALTRA Men's Torin 7 Road Running Shoe

I learned about ALTRA shoes after a catastrophic shattered heel injury over a year ago. In my recovery, my physical therapist offered some advise (that aligned with my Orthopedic Surgeon): That I would need to be looking at a wider shoe in the future, and that stability + cushion would be necessary. Also - that a "flat-foot" - aka "zero rise" shoe might be worth looking at. When I had recovered sufficiently to begin replacing shoes - I tried on many - and there were two brands that had shoes that provided great cushion but very stable support - and ALTRA was the zero-rise choice.I actually purchased this pair to replace a pair that I damaged beyond repair (not ALTRA's fault). Decided to try the Torin 7, as the ratings and reviews seems to be positive. So far, this shoe is very close to the same comfort level as my first pair (VIA Olympus 5).If I had one complaint about these (and my other pairs): The fabric is REALLY easy to stain, and NOT easy to clean. I would sure like to find a way to effectively clean (and protect) the appearance of these shoes.

These shoes got me off my ASICS that I wore for years. Who knew that toe boxes game this wide. Game changer for my bunions for sure.They are comfortable for my shift at work all day.

Fit and Comfort: I've chosen to wear them without the inserts. Ideally, the inserts 3/16 would offer additional comfort, but they make the shoes too tight for my feet. It's a compromise between enjoying the sleek design and settling for a firmer sole than I'd prefer. I am holding onto them with the hope that future versions will enhance the softness of the sole, achieving the perfection my feet seek.Visual Guide Commitment:For fellow shoppers, I will share images to illustrate the shoe's internal space: the innermost line will show my foot's real size, a second line for the insert, and a third, outer line displaying the shoe's dimensions from above. My foot is 10 and 1/4 inches in length, fitting comfortably in size 9, with a heel width of 2 and 1/2 inches and a forefoot width of 4 inches. This visual comparison should clarify the true fit for potential buyers.Future Hopes:The sole's firmness is noticeable when compared to the inserts' softness; while sufficient, I look forward to a softer sole in future designs. The photos I will post, complete with further measurements and visuals, will surely help you decide if this shoe is right for you. By removing the inserts, the fit becomes more tailored to my liking, and I recommend considering this option for a more spacious feel.

True to size & a great fitting shoe.

I ordered this shoe for my husband on Amazon without reading reviews. TERRIBL MISTAKE. He liked the way the shoe felt on his foot and was pleased with the ease of walking, liked the style so he kept them. However, about 4 months later, the inside heels of both shoes were unraveling and coming apart. In addition, one shoe is coming apart at the sole and the other is getting pin hole tears in the top of the shoe.The thing is, these shoes weren't even used for exercising.....running, walking or otherwise. They were worn to work 5 days a week at a retail store. If they would have been used for running, I don't see how they would have lasted that long before coming apart. Contacted Altra Warranty Team, they sent a lengthy email suggesting I go through FIT2RUN (the seller on Amazon) which I did. They said I would have to contact Amazon which I did. Amazon said there's nothing they can do because the return window had closed and told me I needed to go through the manufacturer. So, back to Altra I go. They have sent me a warranty claim so we'll see how it goes. I paid $161.95 with no shipping cost for these shoes....not worth it.

These are the most comfortable shoes.

I bought these on a lark and am astonished how good they felt from day1. I usually buy asics top of the line but these have the best insoles ever and fantastic cushioning.

A brand and a model of running shoes that fit my feet perfect. A lighter shoe compared with the Altra paradigm 6 which I also use. A bit softer sole again compared with Paradigm, but very comfortable

Habe sie als extrembequem empfunden, bitte mindestens eine Nummer größer. Mir sind sie im zehenberrich zu flach.

La compré porque quería unas zapatillas de horma ancha y la verdad que no defrauda. Son súper cómodas y amplias.Lo que no me gusta es que pedí las negras y resulta que negras son más azul muy oscuro que negras.Por lo demás, todo perfecto. Si buscas horma ancha esta es tu zapatilla. Las he probado corriendo y perfectas, muy muy cómodas.
