Almost perfect
The Very Good: The sound quality on this item is excellent. Voice calls and audio sound are crisp and clear and the actual volume available is very good. When linked via the FM function, audio is excellent and the FM function is very simple and easy to use. Battery performance is superb. Bluetooth functionality is excellent - very simple to use and the connection and reconnection works well. The Not so Good. Voice recognition is a struggle. The functionality of the Jabra works well, but the ability of the unit to distinguish between some names is limited and from a hands free point of view, lets this unit down. Previous cheaper handsfree have performed better than the Jabra. Overall, i like the Jabra. The unit is well made, looks very smart and aside from the voice recognition works well.

Simple to use, solid build but voice control useless
I bought the Jabra Freeway because having spent over £1000 on a Kenwood DNX521DAB in-car Navigation, DAB Radio and Bluetooth system, discovered that it wouldn't connect to my phone which is a Motorola MotoLuxe and in fact doesn't connect to most currently available phones. I was resigned to the fact that I'd have to spend more money and buy a speakerphone. Having spent quite some time reviewing the Jabra Freeway I knew what to expect from it when it arrived. It was as straightforward as I could have hoped to setup and within 30 seconds I had it paired to my mobile. I've fitted to the sun visor in the car and it is small enough to be positioned at one end, so as not to obscure the mirror and light and I find it less obtrusive away from my direct line of sight. Good things:- 1) Simple to pair with my phone 2) Sound quality is pretty good for such a small unit and plenty loud enough 3) Receiving calls is easy using the call button 4) When you switch it on it tells you it is on and a few seconds later it tells you it is connected to your phone 5) The wire clip which clamps it to the visor appears sturdy and robust 6) The matt black colour means you don't get any reflections. Not so good things:- 1) The in-built voice activation is useless, unless you can mimik a high pitched American accent and there are no other background noises going on, such as a ringing phone 2) The unit is supposed to know when you've got out of the car by either sensing the door closing or movement within the car. In my experience this again is completely useless. I would recommend that you turn off the unit before you get out and back on again when you get back in. This way you are told if it's on and connected. 3) Watch what you're doing if you need to flip the visor to block out the sun. If you push the visor right the way to the windscreen it'll activate one or more of the buttons along the bottom of the Freeway (vol+, Vol- or Mute). Just take care with this. What you need to know:- 1) The voice activation is built into the unit, but you're only opening up a gateway to your phone's voice activation system. So, if you hold down the connect button on the Jabra Freeway it'll ask you to speak a command. If you then say 'Phone Commands' (in an American Accent) and you're lucky enough that it understands you, you're then talking to your phone which, in my experience, is much cleverer and easy to talk to. 2) I would recommend you just receive calls on the Jabra Freeway until you've practiced how to 'talk' to it, but bear in mind that talking to it on your desktop is a world away from shouting at it while you're driving 70mph on the motorway. Overall a good piece of kit, but don't expect great things from the voice activation. Plan ahead and it should do the trick. And one final note on the delivery experience. I ordered the Jabra Freeway on Saturday afternoon and it was in my hands by 2:30pm on Monday. Okay, it cost me £8, but well worth the extra to get it within 48 hours. Halfords were advertising it for £99 and they couldn't get it to me until the end of the week. I'm £25 better off and already have it. I cannot fault the ordering and delivery process.

A great piece of kit!
I bought one of these Jabra Freeways a few months ago and was so impressed, I got another for my daughter for Christmas. This unit has such clear sound, both for receiving and making calls and a great feature is it will automatically disconnect when you've left the vehicle and reconnects when you return. This preserves battery power and also avoids the possibility of your mobile phone being intercepted by your hands free, as can happen on some units if you forget to switch off while your car is parked outside your house You can also stream music from your mobile through the Jabra to your car radio via Bluetooth, which is another useful feature. I've tried hands free units before and been really disappointed, but this Jabra couldn't have been more easy to use or set up and I really wish I'd discovered it before. I'm sure you wouldn't regret buying one of these and I can highly recommend this very professional and efficient seller to buy from, as both my purchases came though promptly and were very safely packaged

Great Idea Poorly Executed
Like other reviewers have said, a great concept that's been poorly executed. If I had paid the full price I would probably not have persevered. The first unit would not reliably turn on, taking two or three attempts to get it to do so. Also it's behaviour was completely random, with a unknown and curiously amusing response to voice commands (accent obviously dependent). The final straw being it's ability to independently disconnect and enter pairing mode! Amazon, fantastic as usual, organised a return and refund. Working on the principle that lightning usually doesn't strike in the same place twice, I ordered another unit. This time more luck on the on / off function, but clearly not being an American with a dubious accent of unknown origin, I cannot get the voice commands to reliably work. That being said the sound quality and volume is excellent, the FM function very good, the motion activated on / off when you leave and enter the vehicle very useful, along with the fact Siri will work in conjunction with the Freeway actually makes the device worth the discounted price and surprisingly very usable. If Jabra were to invest some development dollars in to the voice commands function this would actually be an awesome device, but as it stands it's just good, but nethertheless with the £57.00 I spent!

Excellent way to connect a phone to an older car (including FM option). Quality sound & reliable performance.
I bought this to replace a Parrot model that I had been using in my car that no longer held its charge (after about a year or so of use) and was too quiet on motorways to hear. The Jabra was easy to set up, pair with my iPhone 7 Plus and works perfectly. It clips neatly to the sun visor. I'd recommend slipping it onto the right hand driver's side as I noticed that when I put it on the left hand side of the visor, towards the centre of the car thinking it would be better there, the listener could not hear me so well. I think it might be because the microphones appear to be on the left hand side of the unit (there are some holes there) so they would be away from me if placed on the left hand side in the car's centre. The sound quality is excellent. I often listen to audible books on it and everything is crystal clear. It can even transmit the sound to the car's speakers via the FM radio. It turns my old pre-blue tooth car into something capable of working seamlessly with a modern smart phone. The battery lasts a reasonable time and can be charged quickly in the car in the usual way. The range of the bluetooth connection is a long way so be careful when you park up and get out of the car mid-call and transfer to the phone. As the unit will often grab back the call if you are within 30-40 feet of the car! It does mean that the moment you unlock the car, whether the door or the boot, the unit wakes up quickly and pairs with the phone. Of all the various after-market ways of connecting my iPhone to my car (including a quality Garmin navigation unit) this is by far the best and reasonably priced product I have come across.

Waste of money - worst sound quality I have experienced on any bluetooth in car product .
I looked for an in car hands free device, as I find wearing an in ear bluetooth headset uncomfortable for long drives. I had a road trip of around five weeks planned, and I trusted some of the reviews on here. The product arrived the day before I left and I made the mistake of not testing it first. In short, the sound 'quality' is absolutely diabolical. The internal speaker on the iphone is clearer than the Jabra unit, which defeats the object of having the unit. It wasn't down to phone networks either, as I tried to make and receive calls in different countries. I believe the reason for the poor call quality is that it uses a narrowband frequency range. I returned from the trip too late to return the unit, and I have written the cost off. Genuinely disappointed, as I was led to believe Jabra are one of the leading companies for this sort of product. TLDR: Do not believe the reviews here and do not waste your money. Use your phones speaker as it is better.

Jabra Freeway
The Jabra Freeway is an excellent product that performs extremely well. The voice is American, but mine will recognise English quite easily (I updated my software via the Jabra website)so I don't know if this has made a difference. It sits nice and unobtrusively on the sunvisor in the car and switches itself on and off as you open the door. I haven't checked how far the phone needs to be from the vehicle before it disconnects because I normally switch Bluetooth off when I leave the car. This is so much easier to use than an "on ear" headset and the volume from the speakers (whose quality is surprisingly good) is adjustable to suit your car's acoustics. I have used the FM facility so I can hear the phone though my radio speakers but it does tend to switch off frequently as I leave one area and pass into another - maybe I just need to re-read the instructions! Overall a very good buy and the usual excellent service from Amazon (I bought a Motorola T325 Bluetooth product which was rubbish and it was exchanged immediately). The Freeway is worth paying extra for as it is streets ahead in performance.

BEWARE! The description is for a JABRA FREEWAY, not a JABRA DRIVE
BEWARE! The Amazon Highlights and Features list for this JABRA DRIVE is incorrect. The most of the details shown are for a JABRA FREEWAY, not a JABRA DRIVE. The current Highlights and Features read: "Highlights: ·Unprecedented rich and clear stereo sound with 2.1 speaker system and virtual surround sound ·Clear, understandable conversations thanks to fantastic acoustics with dual microphones, noise cancellation and echo suppression ·Automatic on/off with integrated motion sensor when car door is opened and closed ·Real hands-free set - with voice control for menu navigation and accepting calls Features: ·Voice instructions assist you through setup and inform you of connection status and battery charge levels ·Voice caller ID with PBAP ·Simple installation: Easy pairing with your telephone and easy installation by clipping to sun visor ·Clear sound and voice reproduction (DSP technology) ·Playback of music and calls through the car radio via the FM transmitter ·Wireless streaming of music, podcasts and GPS instructions from your phone via Bluetooth A2DP ·Remote control of music playback via Bluetooth AVRCP compatibility ·Bluetooth multipoint technology (simultaneous connection of two mobile devices) ·Extra keys for muting, on/off slider for switching and easy-to-use volume control ·Adapter for cigarette lighter with USB connector, also suitable for charging on computer ·Works with all Bluetooth enabled devices.". The JABRA DRIVE as it is, is an OK speakerphone. However there are better ones, in particular (on this level) the Nokia HF-210 speakerphone. Basic, yes. But the sound quality for both parties is superb; whereas the JABRA DRIVE is muffled and undefined by comparison. All-told, steer-clear.
