UPDATE: I I'm on my 2nd bottle of this product. I love this. Will continue to purchase. UPDATE: I've had this shampoo dye since May 21st 2025. I just used it again 2 days ago and it has done a great job. I definitely will buy this product again. I'm in love :) . I was very skeptical about this product. I read the reviews and people said they left it on for about 20 minutes before shampooing. Some even more time. I always leave my dye on 40 minutes to cover my gray. I decided I would keep this on for 40 minutes too. I have been amazed at the color I received from this dye. It is true to my black hair and it covers the gray perfectly. Love the price. It has a smell, so I used my cream conditioner after shampooing and the smell didn't even matter. No hair loss known of with this product so far. I will see how long my color stays in after a while. My hair as an older woman at 66 years was getting to be dry and it was really disappointing me. I only color about every 5 to 6 weeks. Using this shampoo has made my hair softer and it doesn't tangle at night like it used too. I feel good with my hair again. Don't allow the negative views to get you down. Try it for yourself and you can make a clear decision then. Btw, I have a lot of shampoo left, so it will be there to color my hair for a few more times. It's actually saving me money too :D Love that! Thank you for this product. Sure is easier to dye my hair now. Plus, it does not dye your skin. That is a plus.

Ok this is a great product, but for my hair I literally have to wash my hair every week! To keep my color in but I have dreads so I really hate when the color goes !! And have to wash my hair ..lol

Product has great coverage. Smell is not too bad. Drys hair out a lot so you have to use a good conditioner after. Now color. I got dark brown because other reviews said the lighter colors didn’t cover as good. Well dark brown turned my hair almost black. Kinda wish I would’ve started with the lighter ones.

Definitely get the dark brown if you have brown hair for root touchups! It is very messy though.

When I bought this I thought it was thr hair dye. So I bought it by mistake. But all in all it still a great shampoo and it keep your hair color locked in months after you have dye your own hair, Amen

I have a lot of gray hair! But I’m still felling in my 30’s even when I’m in my 40’s so as quick as 20 minutes and my hair looks black again! I’m being skipped that visit to the salon for over 3 months now! Great way to save some money!!

Horrible. My hair didn't even dye it just went a strawberry red. I left it on for 1 hour.
