If you have back issues, you’ll want this! After a recent injury, I was trying to figure out how to manage discomfort on a really long plane ride. I needed something that was portable, yet supportive and functional. This was perfect. It’s “fairly compact” when the air is released and can fit into a backpack. It inflates really nicely on its own when you open the valve, but if you want it to inflate more quickly or if you want it inflated to the max, you can simply blow air into it. This saved me on my long flight and was perfectly supportive for my back. One note: the photos imply this comes with a cover/case but it does not. Instead it came with a strap to hold it in its compact state for travel.

The product is great as a back support. It inflates fairly easily although for me it was a little slow so I would always add air. It is heavier than most products because of the filling used, but we just had a six hour flight and it was extremely helpful in making our seat comfortable. You can wear it around your waist if you would prefer not to have the weight in your carry-on bag.

Provided good support at my desk for a 9 hr work day and helped my back pain. It self inflated to a good size and a quick puff blew it up very tight. It has a push button release valve that lets air out to customize the fit to desired firmness. The air release is easy enough to use that I was able to just reach behind my back with one hand to release air and recap the plug to make it comfortable. Only had to do the at the start of the day so there was no leakage. All materials feel well made and durable. To travel with it, open the plug, push the release button and squeeze out the air. When deflated and secured with the elastic packing strap, it easily fits into the small travel bag it came with. I saw a couple of reviews that said the pillow strap wasn’t long enough to fit around the seat of their car but maybe they didn’t realize the packing strap is designed to clip on and extend the elastic strap sewn onto the pillow. When I clipped it on as an extension, it fit around my very large desk chair so I had no issue with size. Pics included to illustrate.

The inflatable support is actually very comfortable. I can blow air in and take out to adjust how stiff the lumbar back should feel. I use this to tie against myself so the support can go with me wherever I choose to sit. However, the straps designed for this item only fit a certain waist length. If your waist circumference is too small or too large then it will not fit to strap onto stomach area. I had to manually sew the extension strap to shorten the strap in order to fit my waist. The other issue is the material of the straps itself. They are made with elastics, which will loosen up overtime from stretching. The elastic also doesn’t feel very firm and may snap and rip if overstretched too much. If the company redesigns this with a larger range adjustable waist circumference and change the fabric material to a nonstretch fabric then this would be a 5 star.

I used this to help me travel overseas to London, a 12 hour flight, post lumbar fusion and this was a life saver. Made the flight comfortable and easy to use. The best part it's compact and can be attached to your carry on so it doesn't take up extra space, it comes in it's own little bag. Best thing I've bought since my surgery.

This thickness adjustable pillow is just what I needed for use in the car. The memory foam and outer fabric are high grade materials and not flimsy. There is an attachment strap on the pillow along with an extra smaller extension piece. The manual includes illustrations of various spinal problems and helpful stretching exercises. A travel bag is included.

My McKenzie roll works fine but sometimes bulky especially to travel with. Looked at the half circle McKenzie but worried it might not be enough support. Got this to take in the car, on the plane, and just to bring where seating might be uncomfortable. It has foam in it so it is not just an inflatable cushion. Even deflated it is helpful in situations. What I found helpful is inflating it fully and put it behind your back and just letting out air until it fits well as support for lower back. Been bringing it into some restaurants deflated in a roll and put in my sling bag. It makes a booth tolerable or better as well as some other unforgiving seating. Deflates easily by rolling it up. Good for car too. Bought a second one to keep in the car and another for a friend who travels with his McKenzie for plane flights. For anyone that has struggled with rolling up a towel or sweater to help the back when not at home this might work. It is working for me so far.
