Good customer service
Works well as a feeder. It's sturdy and is designed well, including the app. I bought other feeders where a subscription was required to retain any recordings, this feeder uses a memory card so you don't have to get the subscription. Card works well, I bought a massive card, 250GB, I think 25GB would have been more than enough. At first night vision didn't work. Customer service was responsive and they issued two software updates to fix. Ultimately they said the device was faulty and shipped me as replacement. They also advised me to keep the other device for parts. It works fine except the night vision. It did take a number of weeks to get to the outcome, but they were thinking it was a software problem. The night vision on the replacement works well. It's easy to change settings - feeding timer, recording options, and can instant feed if remote and no food is left. Great device and good customer service. Only negative item for me is that it is very large for my cat who only eats dry food as a supplement. So I never fill it so the food will stay fresher. Would be good to have a vacuum tank, or to fill the tank with something inflatable to help remove the air....

Great pet feeder.
I think the feeder is great, and it looks pretty cool too. The feeder was reasonably simple to set up. I’ve had it for over 6 months now, and it’s only lost connection once. When it loses connection, the timed feeds will still release. To be able to watch back the video footage you need to insert a memory card, which took me a while to figure out. It takes batteries which are used as backup power when there’s a power outage, to keep the feeder running. The app is good and it’s nice to be able to see every time my cat goes to the bowl. You can set what times you want it to release, and the amount of portions. The function to talk to the cat through your phone just freaks my cat out, but she’s quite a scaredy cat anyway. You can unlock it and release a feed with the touch buttons on the front, without using your phone. I have moved house since getting the feeder and found it was easier to delete the device and start again. But I did get a new router in the move, so you may find if you keep the same router it would reconnect fine. It holds a good amount of cat food. I think it’s worth the price, as it’s one less thing to think about. Also handy when going away for the weekend and having peace of mind that your pet is being fed.

Great product almost 5 star
This feeder is great the only reason I give 4 out of 5 is because the camera is not moveable

Really Good - Recommended
Chose this feeder after doing some background reading on several other pet feeders. Was a little concerned that it may not do all that I wanted it to do, as the write up was a little vague in places as to what functions it actually came with out the box. However I need not have been concerned. It does all that I need it to do. It took a few tries to get it to connect to the router but once the connection was made all was fine. I found the user interface quite intuitive and hence easy to use. I thought I would be using the scheduled feeding function, but as it turned out I relied on the Motion and Sound sensors to alert me to the presence of a cat in the vicinity. The real time camera stream (both daytime and night time [infra-red]) showing which cat was nearby so I could decide whether to use the Manual Feed to dispense food. This feature was particularly useful as both cats will eat whatever is available regardless of whether it is their feeding time or not! I was also able to call them using the Talk function which enabled me to call their names, which to be honest I thought would freak them out, but it did not. There was probably a bit of a downside from the cat's perspective in that I was not always monitoring my phone, so there were a few longer gaps between feeds than would occur if I was at home. I could have employed the schduled feeding function to elminate this and used the log and message/alarm functions to identify which cat had eaten, but I chose not to do this. In addition there is the function to share the feeder (device) with others, which I have done so they can feed the cats if I am not able to do so. It worked for me, my partner and the cat situation in our house, so therefore recommend this version of the Petlibro Pet Feeder with Petlibro LITE App for smart phone.

Concerning
Bought in March. 5 months later the camera stopped working after an update. I've tried all the suggested fixes to no avail. So when we're away for a few days we have to believe the machine has fed the cat because we can't see it has which is concerning.

Love it!
I admit I bought this without doing any research at all - there was a discount and the reviews seemed good. It’s been a game changer. My cat is very greedy and has no off switch, so I like to feed her little and often throughout the day to keep her happy. This feeder is really simple to set up - it seems to connect easily to the wifi and never cuts out. I’ve fiddled with the settings in the app a bit, but that was more out of interest to see what it all does. I now have it set to feed at 7am, 12pm, 5pm and 9pm, 1 « portion » per meal which works out at her recommended 40g per day according to the back of her dry food packet - perfect! I can now have a lie-in and not worry about her feeling hungry. And when we’re away on holiday, it doesn’t matter what time the pet-sitter arrives, because she’s only needed for cuddles, not feeding! Such a relief and peace of mind. I don’t use the microphone setting to talk to my cat when I’m out of the house as I think that might just confuse her, but some people might like it. I bought the batteries and the SD card at the same time and set-up was straightforward. I don’t bother with the dessicant sachet in the lid- an unnecessary expense imo. I just fill up the hopper little and often so the food doesn’t have chance to get stale. There’s an alert to your phone when it’s empty. There’s a button to press for ad hoc portion dispensing. Or you can do it through the app. Brilliant bit of kit.

Poor performance. Broke just after 12 months
The just after 12 months using the unit has broken. It causes wizzling sound and failing to link with Internet router. Camera works fine but if you try to speak to your pets all you would hear annoying high pitch sound...

Decent device, poor customer service when things go wrong
The feeder itself has been good, when it works. I haven’t experienced WiFi connectivity issues however we have found the night vision only works intermittently, and the camera connection is frequently lost. I have contacted customer service about this issue a few times but they just tell me to reset the device each time. Which, realistically, isn’t exactly a long term solution when I have to reset it several times in a month - given I bought this 6 months ago I do expect it to be working reliably. Have tried to claim on the warranty but have been repeatedly ignored and just told to keep resetting.
