Gus & Me: The Story of My Granddad and My First Guitar Review: This story works in the context of being a children's story, but still feels like an authentic tale being told. - There is such a fine line between being a genius and being a knucklehead, sometimes. It is easy to get distracted by the hard living rock guitarist image and forget that Keith is one of the greatest songwriters of the 20th Century. Keith has led a remarkable, incredible life, despite making choices that were sub-optimal at certain points. His essentially humanity shows through in this warm little story. Keith has this ability to look at life and appreciate all of the little marvels that others might take for granted. Like Keith's best songwriting, this story delivers an emotional impact without being overtly sentimental. This story works in the context of being a children's story, but still feels like an authentic tale being told. It isn't simplistic or trite, yet still makes sense to kids. As always, Keith is full of surprises. Review: Kieth Richard - This was donated in a school district in honor of my husband‘s memory, and my husband was a rock ‘n’ roll musician so the fact that Keith Richards wrote this book is a fantastic gift Who knew the man who we used to call the acid king we dedicate his life to helping others

Highly recommend to ALL.
Wonderfully written children's books by one of rocks greatest guitar players, Keith Richards, and the illustration by his daughter is amazing. It truly is a very inspiring story written for children. It provides a positive story about the relationship between a grandfather and his grand child and how this grandfather was the main inspiration in Mr. Richards learning and mastering the guitar. In this time of such decisiveness its nice to have a book which provides such a positive inspiration towards a "want it now" generation.

Fantastic!
This is a wonderful little book! It's nice to see a softer, reflective side of Keith Richard's. Such a sweet story and a fun cd. My go-to baby shower and kids' birthday gift. I highly recommend!

but really nice for the rock music
A precious children's book, but really nice for the rock music, Rolling Stone, Keith Richards fan as well. The accompanying CD is a touch of whimsy for fans of Keith and the illustrations by his daughter, Theodora, are enchanting. This may have been a "family affair" book, but there is nothing chintzy about it. It is a quality, well-written, beautifully illustrated book which I would recommend for both children and adults. I enjoyed it very much and for the record I am a Beatle fan, not necessarily a Rolling Stone fan.
