Easy to install. But be sure to note the required the diameter of the hole thru the door for the mechanism and handles. (Ours was too small, and it was impossible to use a holesaw on the steel door without the guide drill in the center to stabilize it. I was finally able to enlarge the hole using a dremel, but it took some doing!) It’s attractive and has a solid feel. Note that, unlike memorizing your fingertip on an Apple device, when you “record” one, you must repeatedly press your finger in the SAME position, rather than rotating the finger. We’re happy with the lock after a week or so, hopefully it will last! UPDATE: After seven months we remain very pleased with this product. Never have had to change batteries, unlike reports in some reviews. Works dependably and easily and my wife feels secure. Highly recommend, especially at the price.

Main concern was safety when I purchase this item. Did look around compared features and prices and seem this one fell in the middle category. Why price was good what help was it has a discount, and it had 2 out of 3 features I was looking for (keypad, finger print). Installing it was not hard at all if you install regular deadbolt and door knob same concept. Came with both video and book instructions. I think the only hard thing was resetting it to put your own master code and then programing all the settings you wanted to do but not hard once you had the hand of it with the instructions it came with. Purchase it for my toddlers who already know how to open the doors and go outside. This lock had a feature that locks itself in 30 seconds or change it up to 1 min 30 which helps you and kids when your inside or when you leave. Says it weather friendly hope so but it won't be too expose to it. Maybe another thing I dislike would be the using of the battery's and thinking they might run and and been lockout but won't happen because it comes with a set of keys so your good on that side. I would recommend getting it if you want something easy to install, secure and wanna save some money from others out there.

Easy to install and works. My only problem is every other one I have seen if you turn it on off inside it automatically turns the auto lock off. This one does not. You have to reprogram it. Other than that it is great.

We have purchased keyless door locks in the past and some of them have definitely been a struggle to install. We were a little hesitant to order ones that are not only coded but also use fingerprints! The whole door locks were packaged separately so there were no scratches, very impressed. We were very surprised and happy with these Veise Fingerprint Door Locks. Super easy to install and reprogramming and entering the new codes was a breeze. We ordered three of these locks and after installing the first one and programming it, the other two were so easy. Also like that the handles work on either a left handed or a right handed door. The different options for programming a special code for someone to enter your house once, or multiple times during vacations or time away is so awesome. Really appreciate the directions for programming the locks is on a larger piece of paper that you can actually see very well and not printed on a postcard size piece of paper that you can barely read. We looked at other models, but a lot of them do not have the ability to disengage the auto lock mode. Having three ways to unlock the door is the way to go. We are more than pleased with these locks and will be recommending them to family and friends.

Like many others, I have lots of problems with the electronics for this lock. I waited way too long to install it (complications from moving and surgery). I was able to set a new master code, and then one single entry code. I went to set up the second entry code and the master code no longer worked. So I took out the battery and reset the lock. Every time I did this I only got red blinking after trying to reset the master code. Nothing worked. Sadly, this will be going into the trash. Lesson learned, make sure you only buy it if you can set it up and use it within the return period.

Feels like a well built lock. Installation was easy with no modifications needed to the door. Programming the codes was easy but programming the finger printer scanner is a little tricky. You have to scan your finger eight times. What kept tripping me up was I wasn't holding my finger on the scanner long enough, it would give me a green light so I thought I was done, but you have to get the green light and then wait to hear the beep. By the third try I had it programmed. I really like the color and edge markings, I just wish they had done the same edge highlights to the battery cover to complement the inside the same.

I purchase Veise product last March and it worked great for two months. Then the electronics went haywire and would not open with codes, finger prints or master code. We reset but it didn't work even with new batteries. Finally reviews stated at least one similar complaint that was resolved with replacement. I contacted Veise customer support and spoke to an articulate staff who communicated well. They sent me a replacent which arrived in good time. Reinstallation was easy and now the lock woeks as advertised. I am very happy with how the lock works but I am thrilled with the company's service. Thank you.
