A new way to look at crochet
I'm a lover of all things crochet. Even so, after 5 years of hats, scarves, coasters, sweaters and even a giant zebra trophy head, I was feeling a bit uninspired. Then I saw the promo on this book and immediately pre-ordered it (which I never do). The designs are so different from what I've been making and seeing, and it instantly revved my creative engine. While I have not yet made anything from the book yet (I've only had it a week!), I have gone through the instructions of the sweater I want to make, marked my sizing, and used the author's recommendations to find my yarn. Everything is beautifully designed with clear instructions, and I can't wait to get started. She also provides some helpful info at the beginning which I didn't know as an intermediate crocheter. Worth every penny!

Beautiful crochet designs by experienced designer
Linda Skuja is a fantastic crochet artist. My first successful sweater was made using one of her patterns and I have since made 2 more of her designs. Her patterns are accurate and the instructions are clear and easy to follow. This book, while not for new beginners to crochet, gives excellent information on how to choose the appropriate size, type of yarn, blocking, and how to care for your finished garment. Her designs are innovative and fresh with lots of texture and visual interest. All of the patterns in the book come in multiple size options. I am just starting the Liedags Seashore Sweater from this book and it is like nothing I've ever seen before. Beautiful!! Highly recommend!

Original and spectacular
I'm more excited about this book than I've been about any crochet book in honestly years. The directions seem super clear (caveat that I haven't actually had time to make any of the items yet, but I did closely read through a couple), and the sweaters themselves are truly interesting and frankly brilliant looking. There are maybe two in the whole book that I wouldn't wear - and only because I don't think they'd flatter me, not because they aren't gorgeous. And none of them are generic styles that you already have patterns for elsewhere. The sweaters presented are in a variety of weights and fibers, and in many different silhouettes from boxy to snug. Something for every person and every mood, but still keeping to the beautifully textured aesthetic. The physical book itself feels weighty with good quality paper and clearly printed photos. Not for beginners.HIGHLY recommend.

Excellent Crochet Book
I’m so pleased that I preordered this book. I usually read the reviews, check on Ravelry before I purchase kinking or crochet books. I learned how to crochet from books. I’ve been looking for a book that would include stylish and chick pullovers and cardigans and this is it. If I were to keep one crochet book for pullover patterns, this would be it. All other crochet sweater books include me-too patterns but this is a fresh breath of air among all. It is full of stylish, and creative patterns. The descriptions are clear and easy to follow. I haven’t come across a single pattern I wouldn’t want to crochet. It is full of vogue, timeless, and stylish patterns which people will be asking where you purchased.

Lovely sweaters from a very creative designer
I've made a couple of Linda Skuja's garments before and was drawn to buy this new book. The sweaters in this book are all very lovely and inspiring. Even though I've not made anything yet from this book, I know from other patterns of hers that her instructions are very detailed and easy to follow. The only reason I've given this book a 4-star review, rather than 5, is because I'm a bit disappointed that her patterns don't have more detailed stitch diagrams. There are a couple of small area stitch diagrams for a couple patterns, but I would have preferred that each sweater pattern include more details in stitch diagrams. But if you are not a stitch diagram aficionado, then consider this to be a 5-star review - e.g., I'd highly recommend it.

How to get errata for the patterns in this book
I bought this book because I wanted to get back into crocheting some of the patterns in this book. The sweaters are some of the prettiest I’ve ever seen for crochet. The first pattern I tried is Jura Sea Sweater and right off I found a couple of problems with the instructions for me, row2 was the first one ,the first short row, because I have done short rows in knitting I figured out what the method was for this sweater. I don’t know if the instructions are incorrect because of translation or even if the sweaters were tested. I think it would help immensely if there was a place to get help when you run into a problem with the instructions, I had a problem with row 2 and row 12. The designer was nice enough to contact me to help with my problem and I told her that it would be helpful if there was a place or group where we could get help if we needed it .Her sweaters are gorgeous and I hope to do many more of her designs.Thank you Linda for a beautiful book 😍 I,m sorry to say I’m thinking of returning this book, I tried another pattern and had trouble understanding the instructions. It’s not the pattern it’s the interpretation of the instructions for me. I think this book is too advanced for me.

beautiful patterns
This is, by far, the best book of crochet patterns that I have found. Clear instructions to create beautiful wearable art. I hope Linda Skuja has many more books to share in the future.
