Fantastic product

A little cumbersome to use in places but does work great.

I had to grind some plastic away to get it to work, which is pretty minor in the grand scheme of things. I wouldn't use it in an industrial setting because coworkers are very hard on things and this wouldn't stand up. Ended up having to installed a switch in my welder to send power to the spool gun. Its a DC motor so if it spins backwards just swap the motor wires at the plug. Good for home use, don't push it to hard and take care of it like any tool and it will work. Lets face it its 10X cheaper than the stereotypical name brand one so, grinding some plastic and maybe soldering a broken wire isn't the end of the world. I don't regret buying

So, my welder says it can feed aluminum through the sleeve and comes with a different insert for aluminum. But being a beginner and a hobbyist, I was happy to spend a little extra on this. It's a little different getting used to holding it, but works great! The feed settings on my welder work well with it, and it is so much easier as a beginner than worrying about binding or breaking in the sleeve of the default welder attachment. Would highly recommend!

Had to take it all apart and clean up the castings on a few of the plastic and aluminum parts in order to allow propper roller tension, not a big deal for a welder but unlikely a hobbyist would be able to trouble shoot a manufacturing flaw like that on their own, poor QC, gun itself look like a clone of a big brand and works well once flaws were addressed...
