Great owl house! Easy to assemble and hang. It came with filler for the owl nest and good instructions for hanging it. Although we haven't had a visitor yet (it's only been a few weeks), I think this is a really good bird box and I'm very happy with it and recommend it to anyone looking for a good way to attract owls for nesting.

This owl house is quite a bit smaller than I envisioned when I purchased it, and I am concerned that it will not attract the rather large Florida Barred owls that I am hoping for (even though a Barred owl is in the product's main listing photo). Size aside, the box is quite well constructed and does appear to be made of cedar. I needed to tighten 3 screws that were loose on the box, but it was otherwise perfect upon arrival. I used 5 of the included mounting screws placed through the pre-drilled holes and run into the tree. The small size of the box and the lightness of the cedar wood made it much easier to hang in the tree than I had anticipated, and so I was able to place it fairly high off of the ground, which hopefully will be a plus for attracting Barred owls. I actually like the box quite a lot, but it is fairly small. If it attracts a Barred owl family, I will return here and raise my review to 5 stars.

Arrived on time with all screws & plenty of bedding material. Nicely packaged. House is preassembled & ready to screw into a tree about 15 to 20 feet high. Just be careful not to overtighten the screws or you may split the back pannel. I added an L bracket {not included} under the box for added security. Add 3" inches of bedding material and point the opening to any direction but north and towards a field. Make sure the owl has clear flight to the box without limbs to block them. They do like a lower branch below the box to perch on.

I like the owl house. My husband built my first owl house and I had babies every year since he put it up. This is a lot smaller than the one he built me. I'm hoping to see an owl in it this winter. It's very well made and quality is great. And adding nest shavings was a bonus.

Bought for a friend’s bday as loves birding. Saw one owl on her property so mentioned wanting this. Will put up in fall and says the quality is great. Also came with shavings so didn’t have to purchase anything
