This set was perfect beginner travel. Allows for options. The performance and quality definitely worth it. I've had no shedding and owned them well over a year. They aren't rough on the paper the way cheap brushes are. This is a great set for the traveling watercolor/gouche novice. Good detail and blending ability. Lifting from these brushes is great.

Nice set

I watercolor a lot and I have a ton of brushes. These actually exceeded my expectations. They are soft - I would put them around Princeton Neptune softness level. If you like your brushes a bit firmer, then these may not be for you. They will stay bent when wet. The tiny round brush has gotten a lot of use from me in painting small details, and I really love it. I mostly use the medium rounds, but the large one I good when I want to wet paper quick, although I usually use the flats for that. The scruffy is super useful for paint splatters, and creating textures. I’m going to get another set once my current one wears out.

I'm doing a series of dog portraits, purchased these to frankly, jumpstart my desire to do this big job. I'm surprised how precise and easy to handle these are for the price. I'd recommend adding a good, gentle brush cleaner (bordering on shampoo) to the shopping cart to keep these for a long time. No shedding, easy to carry and versatile. The stroke carries to the end, it doesn't give a dry stroke, they hold water well.

Love the case, love all the rounds, especially the large brushes. I would give this a 5 except the wash brushes keep streaking. Buy it for the rounds and the case. Add your own wash and you'll still have a nice plein air kit.

I was watching these brushes and wondering should I buy them, then I did. I love them they are quality brushs no hairs on your art work!!!!

Decent brushes for a beginner. Some are not useful at all. It is a good travel size and ok for plein air.

Very nice set of brushes. I'm new to watercolour painting, and this set is great for what I needed. They paint very well, round brushes can produce incredible lines with a their nicely pointed tips, they hold their shape and hold a lot of paint/water. The filbert and the slanted are great to work with, nice and smooth. And you can get some great textures from the scruffy, feather and mop. Not a huge fan of the liner, would be nice if it was lot firmer to have more control over the line work. And the 1 inch flat brushes does washes well. Not only did i recieve the brushes two weeks + before I was estimated to receive them, they were packaged very well. The brushes look great, and feel quiet good. Although I would've liked the mop to be a lot heavier. But besides that, they are a fantastic set to get a good variety of brushes, without spending a stupid amount of money. And having a nice wallet to pack them away in for travel and trips is fantastic. Its nice when your stuff has a place of it's own. I keep them in a ceramic cup, while using them as you wouldn't want to place them in the wallet while they're wet. Great value for money! Would buy again and recommend

They are nice brushes and work well

These brushes feel amazing in the hand and pretty sturdy to paint with (I've tried swatching a set of watercolors so far). I think they're a mix of animal and synthetic as one brush is clearly a mix of both as the hairs have different lengths. They're so soft and hold their shape well. I have unsteady hands and these feel a good weight for me to work with without it being too light or too heavy to grip. The elastics are quite tight, but not in a hard to work with way, more in a 'they'll stretch out a little and be perfect' kind of way. Very much hoping these last forever because I'm so loving using them. I would recommend drying them outside the case as they hold water a bit too well and overnight with a zipped up case they were still wet ( I got a bit excited setting up my kit and packed them into the case). In images quick eze for scale. Also the post didn't take long, it just said 'out for delivery' for a few days before arriving, but it did arrive about a week after ordering (I'm a few hours out of Sydney).
