Rubies Super Afro Blonde Wig for Adults, Unisex No Size

I was hesitant to get this after reading a few of the reviews, but I am aware that there more whiners in the world than people who give genuine reviews to help potential buyers decide. So I decided to go for it. At a little over 10 bucks including shipping (Prime woot woot!), I was really eager to see if this would work. I needed this for a 70 theme party, and it worked great! Everyone LOVED it. I absolutely had the best afro there! (Take a look at the pics!) This wig is VERY blonde, and it is very BIG. I put a little bit of packaging material paper (crinkled, lightweight) in the afro to maintain the shape, stuck it on my head and wore it ALL evening with no issues. I did not even wear a wig cap. I put my hair in a clip, stuffed it up, and it fit right on. It seemed to have quite a bit more elasticity remaining in the band that would be used if I had a bigger head or something (I think some people are saying it fits "somewhat large" because of this, or maybe because the actual wig is large and they are misinterpreting the question), but it fit great and did not fall over, move, or anything! And yes I was on the dance floor quite a bit. Oh, and I have a normal-sized head in case you're wondering :) The hair material is great. Just like every other novelty or real wig on the planet, there are a few clumps of strands that come out, but absolutely nothing major or unexpected, and nothing that lessens the quality of this wig. It is natural for this type of thing. Shake it out and you're golden. The styrofoam disc inside that someone else complained about is necessary to give it support at the top. I'm not sure if she was aware how you're supposed to wear this, but that would be nowhere near your head if you put some filler inside the wig (like you need to in order to give it support)... In any case, she missed out on an awesome wig. Also, I'm not sure what she is referring to when she says you can see the "ctlh" through the hair. If worn correctly, and with a little stuffing, this looks fantastic, and the front hairs fall very nicely over the elastic band line (again, refer to pics). Addressing some other reviews, complaining about having to stuff this with paper. Get the heck over it! A small amount of shipping material and you're solid. Um, you're going to leave a 1 star review because you purchased a novelty wig for $10 and the manufacturer doesn't ship it with stuffing inside? Hilarious. In any case, FYI to any potential buyers: you have to put something stuffing-wise to give it support. I used simple packaging lightweight paper. Solved. Plus, each person has a different head shape so would need it to sit differently and would therefore each require a different amount of paper inside. It would be silly if this was included from the manufacturer. Wah. What a dumb complaint. Another review says that there is no indication on how big the wig is. The amazon photo shows that this wig is huge, and refers to it in the bullet points as huge... Um... Overall I am MORE than happy with this. If I had a use for them, I would buy this in every color. 10/10 would buy again.

A big group of my closest friends all had to bring a silly wig on a girls trip and this is the one I chose. Let’s just say I won 😂. This is actually really poofy and amazing quality!!!

I should have guessed with the low, low price! The wig, despite having a 'filler' on the inside, will fit over my entire head! The 'hair' is sewn on in strips with equally wide strips between rows so it looks like a ploughed (plowed) field. Not worth the hassle and cost of returning. If anyone wants confirmation of what I am saying I am happy to provide photos. I buy wigs for photoshoots. I have there are those wigs that could pass for real hair and are hundreds of dollars. Then there are the wigs that are for fun. This is not usable unless I pad out the inside with a roll of kitchen towel.

Great wig! It was very large so I had to stuff the inside with plastic grocery bags so it fit better and was filled up. After I stuffed it it fit great and looked very close to pictures. Was perfect for the wig party I went to. Will wear it again at Halloween.

It's a large costume wig. A heavy shower cap with hair. It's great for a party. It looks different in person. Like Doll hair. It has shedding. But it's not like a African yak hair . But it's cute for playing around with.

After reading the negative reviews I was worried, but I love it. It does have a lightweight soft foam disc on the inside of the cap to add height. It is 1" thick and 7" across and rests on the top of your head. The disc is not noticeable and doesn't make your head shape odd. The cap is a bit large so that soft paper or filler item can also be inserted to achieve maximum height and fullness but a few bobby pins easily secures it. To better explain the fit - most wigs fit tight around your head but this one will fit more like a shower cap than a wig. It will snug against the hair line but it has extra room in the dome and side areas. I crumbled gift tissue paper to add fullness but only because my son wanted the biggest hair possible with his costume. The packaging does flatten it some but a few good shakes and a little work with a hair pick and it looked great. The wig we received had tight curls and the cloth cap was not visible after shaking. I was very surprised because the quality was much better than I had expected. I would suggest buying/using a cheap 99 cent hair pick instead of using a brush or comb to style it, especially if you want that well rounded perfectly groomed look.

The BEST afro EVER! Excellent quality. I stuffed it to increase the fullness! WOW! (On a side note, the first wig I received was falling apart when I got it. The company sent me a replacement immediately and I feel the defective one was just a fluke with production. It happens!) I wore this wig for many hours and it held up great! Perfect fit and a whole lotta groovy fun!

There is a foam insert inside the wig that I am assuming is intended to stay on the top of your head. This insert does not stay on the top of your head and it makes the wig shift around like a “bobble head”. Also, the wig is attached to what resembles a tote bag of material which is extremely large. The product would have been better had it had a traditional wig cap under with support strings to make it fit.
