I use this to light fires in a fireplace and a wood boiler. Drafts will not blow this out like a normal lighter. Lots of strong flame and lasts quite a while at the adjustable flame intensity I use it at which I would estimate at medium. It has a built in trigger safety switch. Easy to refill the propane. The only "con" would be no fuel quantity window so when it quits, just refill. Highly recommended!

I fell in love with this lighter. Works great to start fires in the fire pit and I use it for the sugar in our creme brulee. My son liked it so much that I bought him and my other kids one also.

It runs out of butane to quickly

After filling it I pushed the button and it broke. Didn’t even get to use it.

What the headline says. I bought two, both are the same. Have filled with different cans of premium butane and each time flame won't last. And no matter how tight I hold the lighter against the butane I hear escaping gas. Same with every can, three different ones. I bleed, invert, join to butane, press hard, all just as the instructions on previous page say. No trouble lighting, good torch about 3 seconds, then fades rapidly and goes out. Out of gas. It's like the gas is not going in there, or very little is. I do have experience with other propane lighters, usually only issue is won't light. But a fill lasts a long time.
