Teaching my son to weld so I picked up a TIG gun for my ArcCaptain MIG 200 and ordered these tungsten rods so I could practice my TIG skills (it's been about 25 years since I had done any TIG). At first, I had some MAJOR issues until I realized the issue was me as I had forgotten to sharpen the tungsten prior to trying to weld with it. After that little tidbit came back to me and I sharpened the rod, I had no issues as all. These rods performed perfectly and after about 30 minutes, I was back to laying nice looking TIG beads just like I was 25 years ago. These were also very reasonably priced so that is a big plus. The "review ideas" as I'm typing this mention sharpness so I do want to add the reminder to not be like me and make sure you sharpen them as they are not pre-sharpened (most of the name brand tungstens at our local welding supplier are pre-sharpened so had these been, I probably would have rememered that info sooner).

Welds really nice. I was nervous because of price but they actually hold a nice arc. Best bang for your buck.

This is a good product. I recommend it very cheap.

Used these to weld 6 inch sch 80 pipes and have no complaints. I used these with a Miller XMT 350.
