I bought these and another brand several months ago because I was running new ethernet cable through the house. I leapfrogged cat 6 (had cat5e) to Cat 8 and needed the bigger connectors. Now I bought these before I had fakespot installed, and just came back and noticed that fakespot gave this brand a big fat F. Not sure if they're paying for reviews or what to trigger that, but since they actually did work for me and I'm buying more right now, I wanted to drop a real review to let other actual real people know that they are legit, they do work and as long as you wire them the same on both ends (which yeah, I screwed up a couple times on that) they do the job. I'm getting fantastic speeds with my PoE system. The connectors are e very forgiving and can be rewired even if you do screw up. Tools you do need (for the wire not the connector) are a wire stripper (box cutter can be used instead--carefully) and I'd recommend a pair of flush cut snips too.

This product is easy to use, instructions lacking the package gives you everything you need. You will need a pair of wire cutters and a pair of wire strippers. Unlike any other standard pressed connector, this one can be reused if the cable becomes problematic.

Fast shipping, Had issues trying to get a cable to pass after 4 tries I gave up and just used shielded keystone jackets. Pins bend very easy when trying to press and close connector.

I’ve always had trouble terminating cables in RJ45 connectors. Like lining up the cables just right and terminating with this blue thing is something I’ve never done successfully. I usually wuss out and get a biscuit box instead. This however is a great compromise. I specifically wanted these to correct an error i made when I ran a cable to my rack. It’s way too short and only just goes into the patch panel. With this, I can terminate the existing patch cable end, terminate the end of another length of cable, put them both in a coupler, and then put the other end of the length of the cable into the patch panel. Voilà! From too short to service loop! You just line up the wires in the guide, trim the blue and the brown ones a bit (it really helps to trim each pair separately as they hold the green and orange wires in place on the top row), Place on the connector, press down hard, and it’s in place. *Be sure to open the connector all the way to remove the guard.* Once you screw on the collar, you’re good to go. The reminder for A and B configurations is on the guide itself, and this is the only place you receive instructions. Based on the Chinese on the back, this is a product for the Hong Kong market sold in the US. There are no instructions of any kind, so to an extent, you need to have experience with this. It’s not too difficult to figure out, but some instructions would have been nice. I have no clue what the copper strips are meant for, for instance. Aside from that, you get a heavy-duty Cat 6A connector ready to go and easy to correct if you need to. It also has an exceptional snag-proof tooth so you don’t accidentally snap it off (as we’ve all had happen). I’m very happy with this and how it works. If you know what you’re doing and don’t want to deal with the actual pain of terminating an RJ45 connector normally, I highly recommend this!

I bought these because I knew I was going to have to replace the termination on an exterior cable that was a piece of shielded CAT6a and I wanted to be able to put a decent connector on it. I got these and an exterior boot. The boot was great but these connectors are such garbage that I'd give them 0 stars if it would let me and I wish I could send them back but I got stuck using one of the connectors so I guess they're just going in the trash. The "tool-less termination" is a joke. It's more work and requires more tools to use these ends that the NORMAL ends. You need some kind of stripping tool (which was expected) but you'd also need scissors, a knife, and really at least one but probably two pairs of pliers. I guess 'tool-less' just means 'you might have all these tool laying about'. The biggest problem with these things is that they're ultra fidgety. They don't reliably puncture the casing of the wire to make a good termination and this required me to get out a cable tester to keep me driving myself nuts. It took 4-5 recrimps to get it to seat properly and make a good connection. The other problem is that the end itself doesn't have any markings on it, only the little wire holder piece and that mounts upside down so you have to do everything backwards and upside down and you'll put the wires in wrong half the time (again requiring you to do the termination over again). This is probably fine if you're a home owner and don't mind fooling around with the two terminations you need to fix, ever, in your entire life, and don't want to buy a $20 pair of crimpers but I'd hard pass on these and get the real deal and save yourself 2 hours of your life.
