Perfect substitute to more expensive testers insurance companies won't pay for!!!
Works great! Just as well as the more expensive monitors that insurance doesn't want to cover the Lance's or test strips for. This is a great inexpensive alternative & works perfectly! Easy to use, easy to follow directions for setup included in the box. Fits nicely into the carrying case (I used an old prescription bottle to hold some of the Lance's & it fits nicely in the case). Machine seems to be very accurate & stores your readings for reviewing.

I'm very satisfied with this item. Easy to use. Good battery life. Very accurate. Worth the money. I need to monitor my glucose and I'm happy with this machine.

Good Monitor
First of all, I don't have diabetes or a blood glucose problem. I've been on a keto diet and was just curious what my fasting blood glucose was. That said, if you are diabetic or have blood glucose problems you might want to get a more accurate monitor. It would give different readings, some of which were wider apart than I expected when done several times in a row. But I still think it's a good monitor and will give a good ballpark figure of one's blood glucose level. I had to watch a Youtube video to really understand how to use it. After learning how it was easy to use.

Easy to use
Wanted to check my blood sugar multiple times a day to see if that was causing my headaches. This was easy to use and worked for my needs well

Inexpensive; simple to understand and to use; accurate?
Simple to learn and use. Inexpensive. ACCURACY: I'm not sure. Because my Libre 2 sensor ran out while traveling, I am using this. Right before the Libre sensor finished, I measured my blood sugar using both systems, a minute apart. Guess what? 40 points difference. This system was higher by 40 points! Let's suppose the Libre is more accurate ... But I am still using this system as a rough guide, until I can get back home and get to my pharmacy again for the next Libre sensor. Something is better than nothing. There is a solution in a tiny bottle included in the kit that is for making sure that it is performing within range, but the range is like 40-50 points and I don't see how it helps me know how accurate it is.

Inexpensive but accurate.
Inexpensive but very Accurate. I bought this unit then doubted if it was accurate and was angry with myself for "going cheap." So I researched the most accurate blood monitors and bought that unit on Amazon. But coincidently, I had two blood draws scheduled soon about a month apart. Before I went to the lab I tested myself with this unit and the more expensive one. On both occasions this unit was within 1-2 points of the lab whereas the more expensive meter was about 6 points higher than the lab. Since then, I've periodically checked my blood (I'm not diabetic so I don't do it daily) and this meter is always about 5 points lower than the higher rated meter. I assume the 5 points lower is closer to actual because of the two lab comparisons of both meters.

Accurate, easy to set up and use
Readings are accurate. Easy to calibrate and use. It includes everything you need: calibration solution, lancets, test strips, and monitor. Also comes with a little bag to carry items and a notebook to note your measurements. Instructions are easy to follow. You have to hold the monitor attached to test strips directly vertical to your finger to draw blood. If you hold it slightly horizontal, it gives an error reading. It took me a while to figure that out first couple of times. It would have been helpful for seller to post a how to use video.
