A tea with a difference
The black tea in this blend is relatively light in taste and colour so doesn't overwhelm the other ingredients. The whisky aroma is really strong from the dried tea but the taste isn't overly so, enough for you to be able to taste it without it dominating, with some of the smoke you might expect from an Islay whisky. The star anise is quite subtle, but to be honest I'm not really picking up any of the citrus. An interesting tea and something a little different.

Tastes great
Good flavour, the whisky is noticeable yet not over powering. Makes a pleasant cup of tea.

It's a matter of taste - I just expected more
I found this blend somewhat lacking in flavour, although I may have set my expectations too high. Islay whisky tea does sound a bit gimmicky, I just don't think they realised the flavour profile as well as they could have. It's a decent blend and I wouldn't mind drinking it blind (if I didn't know what it's trying to go for), an attempt was clearly made to infuse some aromatic notes into the tea.
