As you can see from the photos, I didn't hang this as intended...not because it wasn't a fun statement piece but because I had specific light requirements I needed 3 separate "pendants type" fixtures for.I spent a lot of time looking for a dome fixture that was big and not too pricey. This has two domes that were just what I wanted, but honestly struggled finding in this size and price range. It is a great knock off for the high dollar retail ones found in places like PB, RH, West Elm, Aurhaus or CB2.At this price point, I decided to get creative and create my own version of what I wanted. This light is amazing in size and color. The gold is a perfect shade and isn't brassy or shiny, but rather a brushed gold finish on the outside and a nice crisp white on the inside.Conversion:I bought 2 separate fixtures to get the 3 domes I needed. I then purchased 3 ceiling mount/covers (from Amazon) and some spray paint that matched the dome. I removed the bar that the black electrical cording runs through (separately for each light- which made it easier to convert) and it created two separate pendant type lights. They were then installed into the ceiling light box.This light fixture would be great if the company created a separated version. I struggled with the fact that my ultimate vision would have been to have the gold bars go all the way up to the ceiling. With more effort and time probably could have found a way to do it and the thick, covered wire settled easily into a straight line. In the end, the contrast works for my kitchen because I have black within it.I highly recommend this light, regardless of how you use it- just for the fact that it's a great size and price that is hard to come by, and the color is perfect and not the brassy, shiny gold that most things from Amazon come in.Note to manufacturer/seller... Highly recommended adding a choice to purchase these separately. I would have paid the same price for just one, if it had the option. Also...selling the bars to add on and cover wiring would be an additional bonus!

We have a place over the island where our kids eat every morning that had a can light I despised.
