Nice Little Switch Box
I needed a switch box that would allow me to connect one of two audio Sources (radio receivers) to one of two Outputs (speaker or headphones) at a time, with all connections made with 3.5mm phone plugs . There didn't seem to be a solo box that allowed me to do what I needed, but I saw these Yitrox Switch Boxes which included two cables at a good price and decided two of them connected together would provide my desired solution. I've got my two radios plugged to A and B of one box with the Output connected to the Input of the second box. Then, I've got an External Speaker and my headphones connected at A and B of the second box. I use the pushbutton on the first box to select my Source, and use the pushbutton on the second box to select where I want to hear it. Works like a champ! While I didn't think I would have any need for the integrated Audio Pot, it turned out even that is useful to me, and you can feel quality in it's rotation. OK, here's what you need to know. These metal boxes are about 3 in. square by 1in. high. They're probably weighted inside because they weigh more than you'd suspect. The metal case is well made, does not have feet or any mounting hardware. Connections are well marked and match the information on Amazon. There is no instruction booklet included, so refer to the illustrations on Amazon. What is not clear is what connections are being made by the two positions of the pushbutton. OUT is 'B', IN is 'A', which is not intuitive. The Headphone jack on the front is the oddity. It's live in every configuration and plugging headphones in there doesn't disconnect anything. People have remarked that seems useless. However, if you were using the box to switch devices remote from you, jacking into the front would allow you to confirm which source was playing so, in effect, a monitoring port. Anyway, that's my 'read' on why it may work that way. The two cables included with the box are decent quality, about 3 ft. long. I would recommending wiping your plugs and running the plugs in/out of each of the jacks a couple of times to clear up any intermittent connectivity caused by manufacturing oils. I'm pleased with my purchase. You will be, too, if the box suits your purpose. Study the connection illustrations to be certain it will.

Static noise on switch
I tried to use it to switch between headphones and speakers. I used great quality aux cables. When in headphones mode, the speakers make static noise that it didn't make when not connected to the device. I can't use it for what I wanted to and how it's advertised. Disappointing.

It does what it is meant to do
After using for awhile I at first noticed a sound problem, was not quite right.I adjusted the input and output levels and now all seems good. I use is for 2 different sound inputs into a single amplified input for a Bose.

Perfect for mic+audio switching between computers!
Finally! I can't believe it was so hard to find one of these. There are lots of switch boxes for audio, but not audio + mic.Be warned -- if you want to switch audio between two devices, everything else on the market i could find has only audio, it doesn't carry the microphone/voice signal. This does both perfectly. I'm home. Nice solid metal case, too, feels like a piece of quality equipment from the days of yold.So happy, highly recommended.

Unterminated off-outputs cause hum in amplified speakers
This audio switch is well-built and works OK with low impedance devices, like headphones, but causes high-input-impedance devices, like amplified speakers, to emit a buzzing hum when their connection is set to off in this switch.

DO NOT BUY
Volume potentiometer is crap. Useless waste of money..I contacted the seller and they said they would send me a new switch and gave me a USPS tracking #. Weeks later...nothing. I contacted the seller again and they blamed the USPS and said they were "helpless". I finally got through to USPS. THE COMPANY NEVER GAVE THE PRODUCT TO USPS! The seller then suggested that I buy another one! Are you kidding me?! I paid for this product in August. It's almost November. Don't deal with these useless people.

Works Well
This is the "big brother" to a basic "A/B" audio switch. And a very nice one, at that! The metal case of this switch is robust, giving this switch a little weight. Not only does it feel solid, and well-built... the cables you connect aren't too likely to lift- or even pull, this switch box. The "A/B" switch is actually a mechanical button-type, with 'out' for "A" / 'in' for "B". The button makes an audible "click", and the spring tension is good, without being too stiff. An important note about the switch: It appears to be well-grounded. "Hot switching" between signal sources (that is to say, switching between "A" and "B", with a live amp- at medium volume level) produces NO audible "pops", or even any static. It's a good, CLEAN, QUIET switch. Since the box is passive, audio signals can go in either direction through the switch. So, you can have 1-IN, with "A" or "B"-OUT... or "A" or "B"-IN, with 1-OUT. That was a complicated way of saying... you can wire this box to switch between 2 sources, sending to 1 destination; or wire for 1 source, switching between 1, of 2 destinations. There is a second output- labeled as "headphones"- which follows the switch setting, also. Then there's the "volume" control. In actuality, it's just an attenuator. It can reduce audio signal levels (all the way down to 'zero'), but it can't make anything any louder than the signal level sent into the box- there's no amplifier here. I had hoped that this attenuator would only control the "headphone" output... but it's 'global'- meaning it attenuates all the outputs- simultaneously. Still, this box does what it promises- it switches between "A" and "B"- whether that's two sources, or two destinations. And it does the switching cleanly. That's what really counts!

Technically works, but audio quality is awful
This device will crush your stereo channels of audio into mono, ruining the sound quality. I had to do a lot of troubleshooting to figure this one out. I really recommend getting a better device than this one.
