Bought this cassette recorder to record a meditation for someone and the quality of the sound is horrendous! I’ve tried to record my voice and also to play it on speaker so it’s louder and clearer for if to record and still the sound quality as if I put it under a blanket. Not recommended for the recording at all.

Great product. Excellent price for the quantity. The built-in speaker is ok but a bit tiny...but you would use headphones anyway. Easy to use nice big buttons. Dad loves it.

After buying this Walkman I can listen to all my audiobooks on cassette, with similar Sony ones going on eBay for crazy money, decided to go for this unit instead. Very happy with performance, glad there’s no headphones supplied I’ve good quality ones of my own. And this keeps the cost down .

I returned mine. It plays tapes and sounds ok. Nothing outstanding about the sound, could be very much better. The built in mic is absolutely useless, and sounds like your in the next room despite talking into the mic, the ext mic socket didn’t work. I bought this after a KLIM that I bought last week has the exact same problem ( seems remarkably similar design layout, slightly different plastic).
