**9.8/10 Worth the Upgrade! Far Superior in Every Gameplay Aspect; Unmatched.**
I was very sceptical, and not sure about spending so damn much on a controller, so I held-off from purchasing this for years... Until I got my Ps5 Pro. I probably should have got it when I saved it at £159, but I ended-up getting it when it was like £189... But anyway, I have it now, and actually was pushed to buy it when I started playing more battlefield 6 and wanted a more reliable 'Ping' button, as it can be a bit buggy when using the standard 'L1' button and thus keeps my 'L2' (Aiming) button free to use whilst 'pinging' enemies/locations whilst retaining a comfortable grip. (I also assigned the other rear button to 'Armour' (re-plate) - which is usually 'Hold Triangle', so I have more freedom). I went with using the half-button shaped rear buttons, but thought I would use the other ones... turns-out that the half-buttons (crescent?) are actually perfect! The controller, to me, doesn't feel that much heavier at all, and kind of appeared to be smaller than I expected! Basically the same size as the standard Dualsense controller. I had to get another rugged controller skin specially for this one, as I can't play without one!.. I used my favourite silicone thumb grips that have 100 little, sharp bumps on each & are perfectly convex. I went for the standard pro-setup and use a high-rise 'Right' thumb-stick, for more control over aiming and a low-rise 'Left' thumb-stick, for quicker/more response movement tech with less time & distance to reach max input + change direction faster. I like that they provide the different heights of interchangeable thumb-sticks in the case and I didn't have to purchase some! Obviously, I want the fastest response times when playing (especially competitively), so I strictly ONLY use this controller with a wired connection, supplied to the specific Usb 3.0 port, located on the rear of the console (in the middle) - which is the fastest possible method that reduces input-lag. (Ps5 Pro has ONLY super-speed USB-A + USB C ports - Standard & Slim have either 2 or 3 - 1 front + 1/2 rear). Always use the supplied Usb-C (to controller), to Usb-A (to console) cable AND the handy secure connection lock that is also in the case. The case itself is pretty good, one of the best I have seen, being a true hard-shell case, with ample padding and even the ability to charge the controller whilst it is inside the case... needless to say, I would probably only ever use the case when I move homes and never any other time. It has a decent weight to it; very good quality. Since using this controller, my overall gameplay has improved yet again, even though I have been playing games for over 20+ years, and practically dominate everything I put my hands to, it IS nice to have the extra mappable rear buttons for when I play a Soulslike/Soulsborne, RPG, FPS, Survival or any Hardcore game/difficulty, just to make my timing even more precise, quicker AND easier!.. The response times from each input feels VERY instantaneous and on-point; I even use the triggers on the shortest setting so it is practically instant when pressing them (which does disable adaptive triggers of course - being more like a longer mouse-click instead of a trigger). I should also add that in the settings, there is a dedicated section for this controller in 'Accessories' to adjust everything, and one of them that makes it more instantly responsive is to reduce the trigger distance (deadzone to the minimum value (1, instead of 50) on top of having them set to the shortest range, so that as soon as you press them, they register the input within 2 millimeters of depression and thus are even more akin to an instant mouse-click. (Perfect for FPS/competitive shooters). You actually have a much greater freedom of customisation + hot-swappable custom profiles that can be switched at ANY time via holding-down either of the 2 'Function' (FN) buttons in-front of each joystick and then pressing the corresponding button you assign to each of the 4 available custom profiles... There is also the stick deadzone options that even have the option to apply individual profiles for either stick - from a list of adjustable movement + aiming curvatures (acceleration) presets for different types of games and can be fine-tuned to suit your style/s for either left or right stick accordingly. Also, by holding one of the 'FN' buttons, you can even adjust the volume of your headset, and with certain headsets, you can also adjust the chat volume... these work better on PC - which the controller is fully-compatible with, of-course, so it is a multimedia controller at-best! (I think it also works with other consoles, likely the switch, but definitely PC). I use bumper-extenders on the 'L1' + 'R1' buttons to make them large enough to press quicker & easier, but don't need them on the 'L2' or 'R2' triggers as I use a mid-grip that allows my finger to touch both buttons at the same time for speedier inputs - with the tips of my index fingers on the triggers and the first-second crease from the tip of the index fingers resting on the corners of the extended bumpers... Maximum comfortability, maximum control! The middle fingers rest perfectly on the rear custom buttons (half-plate/half-button shape) - it 'would' be the ring-fingers if it were the longer rear buttons. The ONLY possible complaint, would be that the stick-modules are in-fact 'Joysticks' and NOT 'Hall-Effects'... Hall-Effect uses magnets that NEVER wear-out, which means NO stick-drift after prolonged use... Joysticks on the other hand are the ONLY reason you would get stick-drift and is a marketing tactic to make people replace their controllers at-least once-a-year, although A LOT of joysticks CAN last years, but will inevitably develop stick-drift eventually... You'd expect only the finest for a £200 controller but, no. Albeit not ideal, but you CAN also purchase fairly cheap Hall-Effect stick modules that fit into the hot-swappable stick modules in the edge controller that would otherwise require you to disassemble the standard Ps5 Dualsense controller... so it's relatively simple to replace the inferior modules for invincible ones - it just takes a little module upgrade that might cost a bit more than the price of the part + labour for someone else to do it for you! Around £7-£20 for the parts (modules) and maybe another £20 for someone to install it properly, depending on the parts you buy and if they can be placed in the module slot without needing to be housed professionally (which is most likely going to be the case unless you find custom pre-built hall effect modules already made specifically for the Edge controller!). After a few weeks, I noticed that I had to unplug the charger and plug it back in every 5-12 days, as the cable has become a bit warped where it hangs out the back of the secure cable/charger lock, and the cable has twice become unplugged at a weird angle... It puts a lot of stress & tension on the part, and having it plugged-in 24/7 has twisted and deformed the wire already - which has made the secure lock a bit loose/wobbly as its hard plastic with very small, thin plastic that locks into the controller itself, which is not the most ideal design. The charging cable IS a good quality cable that is braided, so it should last a significant amount of time longer than a standard sleeved cable. Also, regardless of the console or variant, whether Ps4, Ps4 Slim, Ps5, Ps5 Slim, or Ps5 Pro, after continuous, wired connection with the charging cable, about 1-8 weeks or more, I find that the charging symbol has changed to an error/not recognised "?" - 'question mark' - until disconnected and then immediately reconnected... It won't charge properly until resolved. Usually happens after extremely prolonged weeks of tethering with the consoles. I can definitely see myself having to eventually replace the cable AND the secure cable-stay lock, not only because of the warping + loosening, but also as it's shown an error message (a "?" - question mark - where it should show that it's plugged-in/Charging on the screen when you press the "PS" button) a couple of times and the controller has disconnected/turned itself off when the cable lock with the cable inside is wiggled or moved in a certain way. I have dropped it a few times as it doesn't rest well on surfaces because of the extra rear buttons (paddles)... This never causes a direct/immediate issue, but may have contributed to the issue over time(?). Other than that, I have thoroughly enjoyed my purchase and certainly do appreciate the upgrade & improvement to my already exceptional gameplay experience - it just makes it a bit less of a 'sweat' to reign superior now!

Top Quality – My Son Loves It!
Bought the DualSense Edge for my son and he absolutely loves it. He says the customisable buttons, adjustable triggers, and swappable sticks make a real difference – especially for competitive games. It feels premium, solid in the hand, and the build quality is excellent. Since it arrived, he’s returned my original controllers and uses this one as his main – so that probably tells you everything you need to know! The carry case and included accessories are a nice touch too. Definitely pricey, but if you're a serious gamer (or buying for one), it’s well worth it.

Worth it!
I never thought I’d buy this if I’m honest, £200 for a controller is ridiculous, I’d say it could be a bit cheaper but it is what it is. It’s a bit of a grey area as me personally I don’t mind the cost especially since all parts are easily replaceable, customisable, the controller feels very good in hand. The weight difference between the Edge and a Standard dual sense is pretty big, Though not actually a bad thing if you’re like me and felt the original was too light. Wish there was more options for paddles as I’m not too keen on either style but they’re still a good addition for the controller, I have found them useful in some games. I just wish also they would actually register as separate buttons, Not sure if all controller paddles are like this but you can only set the paddles to buttons you already use, they’re not registered as individual buttons, they’re either disabled or it’s just having another X, O, or triangle button (or whatever button you bind them to), Not very helpful if you already have the muscle memory for default buttons. But if they could be their own button, it’d be great. The swappable thumb sticks are a huge plus if you have bigger hands too, I found myself slipping off the right stick too much on FPS games so I swapped the thumb stick for a taller one and it’s instantly fixed that problem. Overall, it’s a good controller, sturdy, easy to repair, comfy to hold, good customisation. It would probably be more popular if it was maybe closer to 150 but as I said it is what it is, Can save you money in the long run. I’d recommend it.

The Best Official Controller, But It Should Be Better For the Price
There is no doubt that this is the best controller currently available for the PlayStation 5, but that title comes with some caveats considering the premium price tag. The Good: The build quality is fantastic, and the features genuinely improve gameplay. The back buttons are a total game-changer, allowing you to keep your thumbs on the sticks while performing other actions. The adjustable trigger stops are also brilliant - not just for better responsiveness shooters, but as a quick physical way to disable the adaptive trigger resistance when it doesn't feel right for the game you're playing - as resistance won't activate on medium or low stops in my experience. The Bad: My main gripe is the lack of electromagnetic (Hall Effect) joysticks. This technology essentially eliminates drift, and is standard on many far-cheaper third-party controllers (and even available as mod kits for this specific controller). While the Edge allows you to swap out the stick modules if they develop drift, you wouldn't *need* to replace them if Sony had just used better modern sensors in the first place. For the price, this feels like a missed opportunity. Also, be aware that the battery life is shorter than the standard DualSense, though I haven't found it to be a dealbreaker in daily use. The Verdict: Why buy this over a cheaper "Pro" controller? The answer is the Adaptive Triggers. Since Sony locks this tech down, this is your only option if you want pro features without losing the immersive triggers. It is a great controller, but at this price point, it really *should* be flawless.

Touchpad carino . - Levette fornite all'altezza delle aspettative. Personalmente soddisfattissimo!
