It's way better than cocoa when you put in creamer and sugar, brews perfectly on strong settings. Not great if brewed weak. I was very awake and not exactly jittery like coffee, uncomfortably energetic. I am personally sensitive to chocolate in that it affects me more strongly than coffee. I gave some to my mom, and she drank it in the early morning and was awake all night as well. A little goes a long way. But I highly recommend it. Absolutely delicious. It was an experiment. I just had to know what it tasted like, and wow. Go for it!

I was very curious about this product. The quality was good. But, I had not ever tasted brewed cocoa. I don't know what I was exprecting. But this was not it. It taste nothing like hot coco. It taste nothing like coffee. I don't think that the product is bad and the quality is probably fine. It is just not for me.

I love chocolate flavored coffee, but I am not a real fan of coffee, so I thought this would be great, but it does not taste like chocolate at all. All three of us in my household each tried a cup and none of us made it past the first few sips. To put it bluntly, it tastes like dirt.

Rich tasting hot chocolate.

I was looking for a brewed chocolate for my 2.0, which I maintain. This brewed beautifully. Strong chocolate flavor without the sugar and milk. Love it. No acid problems! I use nut pods with it and it is wonderful. I like it much better than coffee. I am a dark chocolate fan but don't like sugar or milk with it, so this is a natural for me. If you are looking for an American hot chocolate taste, this is not for you. As with good coffee, if you do not regularly descale and clean the needle-pod section of your Keurig, your coffee and brewed cacao will be weak and tasteless (unless you buy a super strong coffee).

Volta Dark Choffy K-cup This was my first foray into brewed cacao. I was surprised how watery it tasted, till I saw on the cups it states to use one for 10 oz, two for a 12 oz serving. But, even when I used only 8 oz of water it tasted like runny cocoa. I'm sure it is full of health benefits, but for this price I'll try something that tastes better.

Not exactly what I expected…not as chocolatey. I add sweetener, and it is a pleasant drink. Not like hot chocolate though. Still deciding whether to buy again.

I love this better than coffee. The aroma is amazing. The taste is pleasing, not acidic and smoother than coffee. My hot drink of choice. Note: don’t confuse Chofy with hot chocolate
