Yes, they are thin, but not paper. If I was mounting them under a truck bed, I would build some supports to go under them. I am using them on top of a flat surface and they seem quite adequate. (Qualify that, I haven't used them much.) The latches seem really good and there is a good gasket around the door. My keys are not the same, wish they were, but what's another key. Good covers on the locks. I am giving them 5 stars because, to me, they are exactly what is advertised. If you want heavy duty metal, be ready to pay heavy duty prices. For me, these will last as long as I need them to, I think.

Used it for a toolbox for my Subaru Baja truck bed. Fits perfectly; I drilled small handles into the sides and chained the box down to the bolts in the truck bed. Waterproof so far, and latches seem secure. Only issue is the covers over the locks bend and break easily and won't take a lot of wear and tear if you're carelessly throwing things in the bed. Overall, good quality for the price.

This toolbox is great, I put it on the top of a service truck body to keep jumper cables and chains in, and it fit the bill perfectly.

I ordered two of these aluminum tool boxes. They are beautiful, light, Two locking mechanism with keys, quality, just slide into the saddle. One of the is going to hold my air tank & two air compressor for my air bags! The other one will hold my strapping equipment. I highly recommend these tool boxes, from this company!

Well shipping was fast. It was what I was looking for I mounted it to the frame behind my fuel tank on my semi. I used the bracket kit that was recommended. It was used for my tools. It was all good until I noticed it was ripping at the back bottom seam. So my complaint is that its thin metal and the craftsmanship is not very good. I wouldnt recommend this product for heavy use. Maybe just light things like straps or edge protectors and extra fuel filters
