When out the other day to test the axe, it was sharp and was able to cut some small fire wood. Will keep posted when taking it in the backwood

Great hatchet, not convinced on extra features
This is a great hatchet. Solid piece of metal design. Blade is very sharp and cuts well. The cover for the blade side has a good fit and a belt loop, but I question how difficult it will be the pull the hatchet out while on a belt. The cover on the pry side fits well but is not secured enough to stay on. It can come off while swinging the hatchet or you can pull it off by hand without needing to unbutton. Hatchet has a good feel and is easy to swing. Weight is 1lb, 14oz with the center of balance towards the top half of the handle. For the extra features, I’m not convinced any of them are usable. The hammer head is small, would make it difficult to hit small nails and you must have the cover on the blade to prevent any accidents with getting cut. At the bottom of the handle is a pry shaped end with a nail pulling notch. Challenge with using either feature is that there is no curve to pry with. That means you’ll need to wedge something under bottom of the handle to pivot off of. For pulling nails, a hammer is designed to grab the mail tighter while you pull on the nail but because this hatchet’s piece is flat it is doing the opposite. The blade also has six bolt hole sizes to use the hatchet as a wrench. 19mm, 17mm, 15mm, 13mm, 11mm, and 10mm size holes but only the 19mm and 10mm holes have four sides of contact. The rest of the sizes have just a little more than two sides of contact. As a hatchet, i think this does a good job. For the other functions I’m less convinced but I haven’t been in a situation where I’ve been able to really use them without having access to my proper tools. If I get a chance I’ll update this review. UPDATE: I’ve used this hatchet to split about two dozen pieces of bundled wood. It’s still sharp and does a solid job with it but the plastic handle has chipped off in one please and starting to make creaking sounds. Considering how expensive this hatchet is I would have hoped it would hold together much better for longer.
