This bell is very sturdy and has some weight to it. It rings beautifully. I wear a claddagh ring and have for years. When my boyfriend whose last name also stems from scot/irish orgins said the bell on his Harley was the one the previous owner had just left on there i knew exactly what i was going to do. And i knew it was going to be a claddagh if i could find it. The look on his face was priceless. He's owned a couple of bikes previously but no one it seems had ever gifted a bell to him. If there was ever a perfect gift that is well made and sturdy and beautiful while being inexpensive and have heartfelt meaning... this is it. You truly cant go wrong. I will say this... it arrived in a box with the hanger i also purchased for it. There was nothing protecting it other than it being in a velvet pouch (no box), that was inside a thin plastic baggy. No bubble wrap, no air pocket plastic protection wrap... nothing. It had to get beaten around and everything else in transport. Yet, it arrived in perfect condition thank god.
