A brilliant Mouse (left handed version)
As a frequent computer user and kack-hander...I have to wonder how I managed without this mouse for so long?! Plug and play right out of the box, it just works beautifully. Ergonomically speaking, it's nothing short of amazing. Very comfortable and natural, easy to use (it takes a bit of getting used to), well thought out and just feels like it's molded for my hand. Because I've had shoulder surgery, the fact that I now don't have to rotate inward to use a conventional mouse means long sessions at the PC should feel easier, with less fatigue and aches (I'll update my review as time goes on in that regard). The DPI button is an especially nice touch and is really useful (2 of 3 works best for general use), as are the forward/backward page browser buttons. A very impressive mouse, worth the couple of extra quid for the wireless version.

Very good left hand, ergonomic, mouse that is excellent value for money.
I purchased the Permice-713L because I wanted a left-hand ergonomic mouse to limit the strain on my wrist. There are not many options available and I had previously bought a mouse of this type from another manufacturer but was disappointed with it. I spent a long time searching the market and decided to try the Permice because it was suitably specified and generally had good reviews. For me it was the right choice and I am very satisfied with it. When my wife tried the mouse out, she found it to be a great improvement over her (expensive) mouse and asked me to order one for her also. I find the Permice comfortable to use and it eliminates the wrist strain I was experiencing. It is well made, suitably featured, and at £14.99 it's very good value for money. After nearly a year of use the right button on one of the mice became faulty. However, Perixx customer service was excellent. They immediately replied to my emails; the first one with an easy to understand set of possible solutions, then when I advised these did not work, a promise to dispatch a new mouse. This was delivered within four days of my first raising the problem, consequently, Perixx customer service reinforces my opinion that the product deserves a 5 stars rating.

Great value and worked well for 18 months
I wasn't expecting much from such a cheap vertical mouse, but it turned out to be pretty good and excellent value for money. The sculptured shape is perfect for my left hand and the buttons are well placed. The mouse wheel has a proper clickable middle button and there's a back & forward button for navigation just above the thumb position. I like the blue light along the side, very snazzy. UPDATE Sep 2024: The mouse wheel has been playing up for the last couple of months. It scrolls one way and then suddenly the window will scroll in the other direction. It's a mechanical fault and not something I can fix myself. Such a shame as this was a good mouse. So do I buy another and expect it to last just 18 months or do I try another brand? Hmm.

Good to use
Comfortable to use. Good design. Don't have pins and needles in hand when using this. Recommend.

Fit's like a Glove
Needed a new wireless moue after my 16 year old mouse also started to have Electronic Communication Dementia. I was very pleased that it fits into my hand so comfortably. The left right buttons are directly under your fore and index fingers, so just click without having to position them. Your thumb sits nicely into the curved grove and the curved rear sits comfortably into your palm, 'it fits like a glove'. Although I am righthanded I always use the wireless keyboard on my lap with my right hand as I sit on the sofa and the mouse in my left. Also the mouse mat is not needed as the mouse works perfectly on the cushion. The mouse takes 2 triple A batteries, not supplied, and saves battery power by sleeping when not in use, just move and it wakes up. A Bluetooth USB is supplied and it connects to the mouse immediately. There's a DPi button above the thumb so you can change the speed of the mouse icon moving across the screen. A red light below your thumb flashes to indicate the speed has been changed. I'm really pleased and happy with the ease and comfort this mouse has, 10 out of 10.

Good but doesn't last
There isn't a lot of choice for left-handed vertical mice and while it worked this was very good. However the scroll wheel started jumping and bouncing after ~ 6 months and the mouse as a whole died after 20 months.

Left handed Perimice 513 and 518 compared
Both the Perimice 513 and 518 are solidly build and have positive clicks on the buttons. They both feel comfortable in the hand. I bought a 513 first, which is for all hand sizes but I think it would be better for up to medium hands (mine is 200mm from wrist to tip of middle finger). The two mice are the same length but the 518 is wider which keeps the hand in a more relaxed position. It also has a rubberised groove where the thumb fits and a slope on the side for the little finger and side of the hand to rest on. Both mice work out of the box with Windows 7 drivers but software can be downloaded for the 518 which I probably won't bother with. I've had the 513 about a week and I'm not quite used to it yet - usual left hander thing of using the index finger for both mouse buttons and the wheel. The 513's wheel is well placed but my impression of the 518 is it's wheel is better operated with the middle finger. Both feel more comfortable to my wrist than an ordinary mouse because of reduced twisting. You still need to adjust your chair so your forearm is horizontal - and don't slouch - or the pain of RSI will stay.

Update after ~3years of heavy usage - Overall, very satisfied with the mouse, unlikely I will ever go back to a standard flat mouse post this purchase. The vertical mouse is super comfortable to the wrists. The mouse wheel has started getting wonky, scroll down sometimes results in a scrollup. The other buttons are still fine. Time to purchase a new one. -- After ~1 month of usage. The mouse is angled so that the palm is a near natural position, and helps usage for prolonged duration. While adjusting to the mouse position is almost natural, mouse movements needs some adjustment. The resting pressure point also shifts to the bottom left of the palm compared to the wrist joint in case of a regular mouse. Since there is a DPI switch as well, one needs to play around for optimum settings. The mouse seems to be well built and has an adequate cord length. On the flipside, minor niggles, the mouse buttons are made of shiny smooth plastic, which does not feel nice and is a dust magnet. There is a built in LED that is a bit distracting.

C'est la deuxième que j'achète. Une à la maison et une pour le boulot. Le clic est peut-être un peu bruyant par rapport à la 1ere que j'ai acheté.
