Very reliable. Tricky to fit. Noticeably heavy. Great value.
I bought a pair of these back in November 2015 and they're still on the bike to this day. I've had zero punctures during that time.I commute on my bike (8 miles per day, all weathers) and remember going through a phase where I was getting a lot of punctures with my stock tyres. As I was primarily using the bike for commuting, I wasn't too fussed about the additional weight that came with these tyres. There is a noticeable heaviness even compared to my stock tyres, which to be honest probably weren't anything special, but the additional weight wasn't enough to be a concern when you consider how effective these are at preventing punctures. The tyres were a pain in the - tricky to fit. I'm not a particularly good mechanic by any stretch, but I'd been taking my old tyres off on the side of the road with no issue. These however took me a good 10-20 minutes to get on in the comfort of a kitchen, claiming the lives of one or two tyre levers in the process. My local bike shop have had the tyres off multiple times when fitting new wheels and they've always made it look annoyingly easy. Just something to bear in mind, as I think it could be tricky for the average joe - armed with cold fingers and fragile plastic tyre levers accumulated from various Christmas gift sets - to remove roadside were a puncture to occur mid-ride.But the whole point of these tyres is that you shouldn't have to worry about punctures, and in my experience they've performed admirably. Excellent value too. Would fully recommend.

Great Commuting Tyre
I bought these just over a year ago to replace some old unbranded tyres on my road bike having recently punctured them cycling around London and dealing with some pretty rough and tough road conditions and these did not disappoint.I commute to work daily around West London, specifically within a 5 mile radius of Heathrow, coming across all kinds of road conditions from quiet residential streets to busy dual carriageways like the Bath Road/A4. I do around 80-100 miles a week. You name it I've cycled over it from speed bumps to potholes, gravel, broken glass, nuts and bolts and whatever other trash and debris gets left in the gutter much of which I have been unable to avoid because of circumstances on the road. Not a single puncture and not even much wear showing either given the several thousand miles I've put on them (4000 ish?). Just great.Fast forward to a new accounting year and a new bike on a cycle to work scheme (yay!). Decent bike with good branded wheels and tyres (Eastway E28s with Kenda tyres) but 3 days in and the rear has popped. So here I am writing a review and buying a fresh set of Marathons to put on (I'll be changing the front too before that punctures). These aren't fast or pretty but when you need to get somewhere on time and reliability is key these are absolutely brilliant but you won't win many races on them if that's your thing. I bought these Marathons with the following inner tubes in anyone is interested: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B000NJL6OM/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Superb almost 100% puncture-proof tyres
These are by far the best tyres I've ever bought. I spent years wasting £50 or more on expensive Continental tyres to protect myself from punctures on my daily cycle commute, and they would normally last at best around a year and during that year I'd expect to get between 3 and 6 punctures anyway. Then I switched to these beauties. Half the price, but in more than 18 months cycling with two of them I have got one puncture, which only occurred when a huge rusty nail went through the edge of the tread (not bursting the inner tube somehow) and then I tore a hole in the inner tube while pulling the nail out of these tyres. They also take a lot of punishment - I've cycled on one for 18 months now and it's not even close to having worn down the tread and probably won't have to be replaced before 2018. If you're looking for robust, reliable, and almost puncture-proof tyres at a great price, then, my friend, your search is over. Buy these. You won't regret it.

Does the job well, don't use on ice (duh)
Well, they are heavy, and have a lot of rolling resistance, but reasonable enough to do long rides in medium speeds (100km @ 30kmh)Proabably the best part is that it does protect. Went through really bad pothole in rainy day, had enough traction to stay upright and the spoke lacing hole in the rear hub cracked bad enough with other holes becoming oval instead of round, rendering it unsafe. Tyre still good as new. Now, i know, this isnt wide tyre, and it's on high pressure, but I'm still going to say it, it has absolutely no traction on even slightly icy surface. Rear slipped at the first turn. No issues with any other surfaces l (mud, wet roads)Also it is pain in the bottom to mount it on the rim.

Mis-sized
The media could not be loaded. I bought a like-for-like swap of these tyres after having been impressed with the puncture resistance of the previous version. Sadly the manufacturing standards appear to have slipped. The tyre, despite being identical to the previous one in official size, is now too big for the rim.

So far so good.
Very good tyres. Only have done about 300 miles on them but no signs of cuts or damage. Before I have usedschwable lugano - I think they are very good tyres for the price they are offered. Just because now I have got more mixed cycling- roads, canals paths, and little bit offroad I have decide to go for schwable marathon plus. You will notice they are about twice heavier than the lugano and bit thicker - I find them more comfortable. I don't know why people having problems to fit them, it actually took me about 15 min to change over two wheels ( I recommend to use cable ties, and tie the tyre down to the rim which makes the work much much easier). You can use 700x23c inner tubes which are bit cheaper than 25c. Would I recommend - definatelly yes. Will update later...
